Chpter Nine

"What is that?"

A squeal escaped my lips and I shut my phone off and whipped around to see Nonna and Renesmae standing behind me smirks on their faces.

"I don't know what your talking about.." I trailed off and frowned. I knew exactly what they were talking about.

"So your telling me." Renesmae grabbed my phone making me growl and snatch it from her hands "that you weren't staring at photo of your boyfriend?"

"His not-

"You say that now. I said that with your Nonno."

I rolled my eyes and looked at Nonna who shrugged her shoulders and grabbed a biscuit and taking a bite out of it.

"Do you like him?"

"No."

Suddenly Renesmae had a sultry smile on her face "so your saying I can go over there and have him all to myself , because he is fucking gorgeous."

"No!"

"Sucked in!" Nonna and Renesmae said simultaneously making me blink at them. My family is weird.

I huffed and crossed my arms. Renesmae planted herself on my lap making me make a big groan "get off of me you elephant!" I shoved her off me making her land on the floor with a loud thump.

Nonna choked on her biscuit whilst Renesmae began swearing at my in Italian ridiculously fast.

"Aldicncsk kcishskam cnridhwj rufudjskw."

I stared at her with wide eyes. that wasn't even words to any language-actually gibberish.

"You better sleep with one eye open." She warned and I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"When was the last time you saw Nick?"

It's been a week. Seven days since I've seen Nick. I felt like after that night at the cliff he didn't want to see me. It hurt a bit but he opened up to someone he didn't know very well.

I'm still surprised he did. Really surprised he did.

"A week." I mumbled and Renesmae took a seat next then laid down her head on my lap. "Did something happen?"

I shrugged my shoulders. A loud crunching noise was made and an annoying chewing. Renesmae and I shared a look then turned to see Nonna having a moment with her biscuit.

"Listen Nonna, I get the chemistry between you and your biscuits are strong."

"If I put you next to a chewing cow you won't be able to tell the difference."

"Aye!"

A shoe was thrown and hit Renesmae square in the face. I let out a snort before bursting out laughing gasping for air. Since Nonna has gotten training for throwing shoes at me non stop she shorts, and never misses.

"Fuck!" Renesmae groaned and sat up clutching her nose "I think you broke my nose."

"Put some alcohol on it." Nonna said blankly now flickering through a magazine.

"Dear lord." I muttered under my breath.

Suddenly Renesmae's eyes lit up and I felt like something bad was going to happen. She grinned at me and ran upstairs.

Nonna didn't seem phased. Until music began blaring from my speakers. Nonna and I jumped at the ridiculously loud music.
