I surprisingly woke up in a really good mood this morning. I got out of bed, had a body wash, ate a nice breakfast and was now walking to school. Headphones in and bobbing my head to my Spotify playlist.

Walking up to the school gates I smiled at people who greeted me. I should be scared, terrified and should of stayed home.

Sandy was somewhere, prowling these grounds with my nudes on her phone. She could show them to anyone, leak it out to the whole school. My family would find out, I'd get judged, bullied.

But then I stopped right in my tracks when I saw something. My heart fell to my stomach and I just stared at the sight in front of me.

It was Nick, leaning against his motorbike with his hands wrapped around a girl's waist. My stomach was in my throat and I felt cold. Betrayed.

Sandy let out a giggle and trailed her finger down his chest teasingly. His eyes met mine and they widened slightly. But his only reaction was to look away and pull her closer.

Anger. That's what I felt, I was livid. After what I've told him, our moments together that flame, he burnt it out. Stomped on it as if it meant nothing.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see Sage standing next to me, tall and looking where I was.

Her Afro was pulled into a bun, leaving the curls out making her look pretty. She wore no makeup and her skin was glowing.

"Who's that?" She asked and turned to me, her caramel brown eyes held something that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Was it recognition?

"Sandy." I said obliviously and she rolled her eyes. "I don't give a fuck about that girl, him."

I knew she was talking about him, I guess I really didn't want to talk about him.

"He's gorgeous." She muttered and winked at me, seeing my blank expression she grabbed my cheeks and squeezed them. "Baby what's wrong?"

I suddenly felt giddy inside when she called me baby, like our friendship was growing stronger and that she did like me.

"His my neighbour, we were.....close." I trailed off and met her warm eyes. "I told him about her, but here he is, with her."

Sage pursed her lips and turned around to glare at him. Squinting her eyes "uh huh." She said and began walking. "Lemme teach them a fuckin' lesson-

Grabbing her arm before she could walk off any further.

"Ya' twats!" She yelled, earning looks from other people. I slapped my hand over her mouth and shot her a glare. "Sage." I hissed in a low whisper. "Don't."

She glared back at me and opened one palm with punched her fist in it. A deadly look in her eyes.

"It's okay." I assured her. "Wanna coffee? It's on me."

Studying me, her features dropped into an pity look. But then her lips grew into a wide grin and she looked one arm with mine. "I can't say no to free coffee."

"Psst." Sage whispered, poking me with a pen on the cheek. I turned to her and cocked up a brow. Looking at the teacher who was typing on her computer then looked at Sage again.

"Yeah?"

"I have an idea."

Lacing my fingers together I turned to her and waited for her. She snickered and had a huge grin on her face.

"Let's go clubbing!"

The person sitting in front of me turned around and gave us a weird look, seeing Sage's glare they turned back around.

I stared blankly at her and she gave me the same look. Waiting for her to say she was joking, but I realised she wasn't.

"Oh your serious." I muttered and she rolled her eyes chewing louder on her gum.

"Of course I am!"

"I hope your doing your work Miss Emberey."

I looked up to see the teacher giving me a pointed look from the other side of the classroom. A few students turned around to watch what was happening and I flushed and sunk in my seat.

"Yes Sir." I muttered embarrassed. Shooting Sage a glare and grabbing my pen and scribbling on the paper.

Suddenly something hit me on the head and landed on the floor. I looked at Sage who looked down at the floor then met my eyes.

Looking down I saw a scrunched up piece of paper on the flow. I bent down and grabbed it. Opening the slip.

Wear something nice, I'm picking you up at nine.

I turned to her and she shrugged her shoulders and went back to writing. Tossing the paper in the bin I attempted to get back on task.

But all I could think about was Nicholas. Distracted I hovered the pen over the paper and pursed my lips. I was hurt, how could he do that?

I thought Nick was better than that. But people change. Was it her looks? Her charms? I wouldn't be surprised, Sandy knows how to make people bow down to her.

I was formerly one of those people.

The bell rang and I gathered up my books, pushed my negative thoughts to the back of my head and dashed out of class with Sage trailing behind me.

My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out to see a message from Nick. Swallowing the sudden lump in my throat I stared at the lock screen.

"You okay?"

I looked up at Sage who had a concerned look on her face. Shooting her a reassuring smile I stuffed my phone in my pocket and nodded. "I'm good."

Studying she wrapped an arm around my shoulder as we walked down the hall. "Tonight is gonna be fuckin' good." Her voice laced with excitement. "I can just feel it Ev!" Her eyes sparkled and I snorted and shook my head.

"I don't know.." I trailed off and she let go of me and slumped her shoulders. "C'mon! We don't have to stay until crazy long."

"I'll let you know."
