Chapter 5

Felix's Pov:

"He said he changed his mind! He changed his mind!" Felix all but yelled happily while walking with Sheba out of the lunch room. "Glad you're happy 'bout it Fluff Ball." Sheba responded with amusement. Soon, they reached the hallway where they separated. They said their good-bye's and parted. Felix began walking to his next class, then was slammed into a locker. Then, he was grabbed by his shirt collar. "Hey, bastard! You tryin' to help out the fucking nerd? Let me show you what happens when you help out the fuckers!" The boy pulled back his fist and slammed it into Felix's eye. He pulled it back again and slammed it into his jaw. The boy slammed Felix a few more times. Then, a voice came from behind the boy. "Let the cat go, Kenny." The boy turned around, allowing Felix to see who tried to help him. A tall black and white rabbit was standing with his arms crossed. When the rabbit saw Felix, his eyes flashed. "You'd better get out of here before I make you look like him!" The boy let Felix drop to the floor, then ran away. The rabbit ran to the injured Felix. "You okay.....?" "Felix." "Oswald." Oswald picked Felix up bridle-style. Felix blushed deeply. "You don't have to-" "You've been injured pretty bad. I don't want you to walk until I know you're completely okay." Oswald said sternly. Quickly, he ran to the nurse's.

Oswald's Pov:

Oswald pushed through the nurse's office door. "You'd better have a nurse's- Oh my god!" The nurse had looked up and seen Felix. "Set him on the cot, quick!" Oswald did as he was told and sat next to the cot. The nurse worked quickly and efficiently. "There, that should do him some good." She said after wrapping Felix's chest. Felix sat up carefully, allowing Oswald to help him. "Give me a mirror." Felix said. "Felix, I don't think-" "Please." Felix said firmly, cutting off. Oswald, though he didn't think it was a good idea, gave Felix a hand mirror. Felix's eyes widened and he gasped. Oswald understood why. Felix face was swollen, he had a nice shiner on his left eye, and he was missing two teeth. Oswald sighed, "I tried to warn you, Felix." Felix set the mirror down and looked at Oswald. "Will you walk me to class?" Oswald nodded. The nurse handed both boys tardy notes and sent them off. Felix directed Oswald to Mrs. Sheryl's room. "Hey, this is my next class too!" Oswald exclaimed, realizing the small black and white cat he sat behind was Felix. Felix smiled. Oswald opened the door and the boys walked in. Every head in the room turned to Felix and gasped. Mrs. Sheryl turned around and gasped as well. "Oh my god, Felix! What happened, Oswald?" Oswald explained what happened with Felix and Kenny. "Kenny Grouse. I'll report him to the principal's as soon as class is over. I'm sorry he did that to you, Felix. That was very brave of you, Oswald. Okay, take your seats." And they did.
