Chapter 18

Oswald's Pov:

"Please stop raking your hand through your hair. It's making me nervous." Felix said, looking like he hadn't got much sleep. Cuphead promply put his hand on the table. "Sorry, Felix. It's just- ugh! I'm worried sick about Bendy and Mugs." He put his head on the table. "I know... I didn't get a wink of sleep last night. Not only was I worrying about Bendy and Mugman, but... Sheba too." Felix said, his eyes seemed to glaze over slightly. "What's wrong with Sheba, Fel?" Oswald asked, now worried for his best friend. Felix sighed. "She's terribly sick. That's why she didn't join the search, and why she can't be here today. I had to half stumble, half walk to school today." Oswald nodded. Then, Felix laid his head on Oswald's shoulder and leaned sleepily on him. He looks so cute when he's tired. Then again, he always looks cute. I know I like him, but... What would he think of such a thing? I'm sure he's straight. I mean I was until two months ago. So fuck me. Oswald put his arm around Felix gently. "Heh... Looking at you two makes me think of Bendy. I miss him... When we find him, I'm gonna tell him." "Tell him what?" Felix asked sleepily. Cuphead smiled, a dreamy look in his eyes. "I love him." That hit Oswald full force. He's decided to tell his crush... So why can I not tell mine? The bell rang, snapping him to reality.

Felix's Pov:

I can't beleive he didn't push me off! This doesn't mean anything, I know. But, still... There's no way, unlike Cuphead, I could tell Oswald I like him... He'd be mad, or something like that. Sleepily, Felix let Oswald lead him to Mrs. Sheryl's class. They entered the classroom. "Good afternoon, boys." Mrs. Sheryl greeted absentmindedly. Felix caught sight of a tear as it made its way down Mrs. Sheryl's cheek. Felix sat down just as the bell rang. Mrs. Sheryl stood in front of her desk. "I'm sure you've all heard that today's been a free day. Well, enjoy..." Her voice was so raspy and quiet, it was hard to beleive that this was the same teacher. Her eyes were red and puffy."She's been crying." Felix whispered to Oswald. He nodded. "With what's taken place recently, I'm not surprised. She was very close to Bendy and Boris's parents. She watched them grow up. One of them going missing has to be hard on her." Felix was shocked. Mrs. Sheryl's that close to the boys? No wonder she wanted to help us so bad! Felix got out his sketch pad. There was only one toon who came to his mind as he picked up his drawing pencil. Oswald. Felix got to work, making a detailed drawing of the handsome rabbit. After the drawing was nearly complete, Felix felt eyes on him. He glanced at Oswald who was eyeing his sketch pad. From the angle he was, Oswald couldn't see what Felix was drawing. Felix smiled at him, then turned the drawing so Oswald could see his work. The rabbit's jaw dropped. "W-wow! That's amazing, Fel! Why'd you draw me?" Felix smiled again. "You were the only one who came to my mind." Then, he blushed. Why did I say that?!. Felix looked up and saw Oswald was blushing too. Then, the bell rang.

Oswald's Pov:

He drew me... Of ALL the people in the school, I was the ONLY one that came to mind! Me? D-does this mean? No way, no way! Dammit, I HAVE to tell him! Now! DO IT NOW! As they walked down the hallway, Oswald mentally yelled at himself. "H-hey, Felix?" Oswald said, then stopped walking. "Hm?" Felix responded, stopping as well. "I, um...Well, I... I mean, I... I-I, um... I l-like you...." Oswald finally stuttered out his confession. Unfortunately, he had whispered the last part a little too quietly. "You, what?" Felix asked, confused. Oswald mentally cursed, then pulled Felix's shirt collar. He pushed his lips against Felix's. At first, the small cat stiffened, then he kissed back. Huh?! D-did he kiss me back?! Oswald pulled away and looked into Felix's eyes. There was something there, was it love? "You kissed me back... I thought you'd never fall for someone like me." Felix laughed. "Honestly, I thought the same about me. I had no idea..." Then, Felix kissed Oswald. "Love you, Fel." "Love you too, Ozzy" Oswald nodded and smiled. "'Ozzy'... I like-no- I love it." Quickly, they ran to class.
