Percy's P.O.V

=====Flashback Start=====

I smirked and wrapped my arms around Annabeth's waist. "Hey..." I said breathlessly into her ear.

She giggled and turned around to face me. "Hey. Where were you earlier? I didn't see you at dinner."

"Sorry. I was training." I shrugged.

Annabeth rolled her eyes and kissed me on the cheek.

I pouted playfully. "That's it?"

"You're so childish." She teased then kissed me on the lips.

I kissed her back and pulled her so she was closer to me. My wise girl...

"Goodnight Wise Girl." I whispered into Annabeth's ear and pulled away from the hug we were in.

"Goodnight Seaweed Brain." She replied then went into her cabin.

I ran my fingers through my hair and looked around. Time to go back to my cabin.

I began to walk towards the Poseidon cabin.

AHHHHHHHHHHH! HELP ME!

I looked in the direction of the cry and began to sprint over there. I noticed that it was outside of camp. I grunted then ran to the top of Half-Blood Hill and looked down.

There was a teenaged boy, about my age. He was probably a year or two older than me. Like me, he had black hair, but it was cut into more of a side swept hairstyle. The boy was surrounded by hell hounds, baby hell hounds.

I shook my head and took out riptide. I clicked it and watched as it turned into a celestial bronze sword. I gripped the sword and sprinted down the hill. As soon as I got to the first hellhound, I quickly brought my sword up and slashed down on the hellhound. All that was left of it was dust.

I turned around and quickly turned the rest of the hellhounds into dust. I dusted myself off and walked over to the boy. "Hey? Are you alright?"

By then, the boy only looked at me with fear. He looked behind me and the fear was replaced with anger. He quickly pushed me out of the way and took out a dagger. "WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ME?! I ALMOST DIED!" He yelled.

I stared at him in confusion. "I'm sorry... What?"

"YOU BASTARD! I COULDVE DIED! YOURE LUCKY I KILLED ALL THOSE... MONSTERS BEFORE THEY KILLED YOU!" He shouted.

I heard a collection of gasps from behind us and turned around. Right there was the whole camp. In a mixture of armor and pajamas. On any other occasion, I would've laughed, but I had bigger things to worry about right now.

"What do you mean?! I clearly remember that I was the one to kill those hellhounds while you hid behind that tree!" I snapped.

The camp began to murmur.

"Perseus?! What is the meaning of this?!" Chiron asked.

I looked at Chiron. "I sa-"

"We were surrounded by these... Monsters! And I did the honorable thing and defeated them all with my dagger! All he did was cower in fear behind a tree!" The boy shouted.
