After the Quinjet landed, Xyra quickly unbuckled and weakly walked out onto the tarmac of the aircraft carrier they were aboard. She quickly fell to the floor praising it; vowing to never hop in another aircraft again. She greeted her other associates as she entered the hub; heading straight to her Commanding Officer (C.O). No way was she waiting on that partner but that didn't matter, he passed her on the way.

"You don't look so good." He remarked as he jogged with the briefcase. "Maybe you should take a rest before seeing the guys, you know, compose yourself."

"I'm fine!" She growled as they continued their way to the C.O's office.

The duo slowly entered their C.O, Brian Shaw's, office. Shaw was tall and well built. He had chocolate brown hair that went with well with his white skinned tone and his dark blue eyes.

"Mission Accomplished." Jason voiced as he stepped through the door; placing the briefcase on the desk.

"Welcome back Agents Blaze and Fox." He greeted before turning his attention to three agents who were already in the room. "Please, give us a minute."

The three agents nodded and then departed from the room; closing the door behind them.

"Welcome back, now, congratulations on securing the package but I got a question." Shaw started. "Do you guys understand what COVERT OPERATION means?!"

Jason glanced across at his partner who flinched at the outburst of their Commanding Officer.

"WHOSE idea was it to ignore the schematic that I drew up?! Huh?" He continued; his anger quite evident. "If you followed my path, the alarms wouldn't have been tripped. You were probably wondering why the enemy didn't send reinforcements to the base, to which I'd have to say, they sent their reinforcements here."

"It was my fault sir." Jason covered, protecting Xyra from the consequences she would have faced if the truth of what happened was revealed. "The path that you wanted us to follow was much longer and would have a higher chance of us getting noticed by the enemy."

"Oh, so we have a wise guy." He sarcastically responded. "This is not a game Agent Blaze! This is not a game where you can just improv on the plan. These are very dangerous people and having certain things in their possession long enough for them to realize it's full potential would be catastrophic."

"Just what is in this briefcase?" Xyra questioned. "Got to be extremely important."

"That's classified; way above your clearance level." He replied; his frustration still evident. He then temporarily flashed a saddened look at them, changing his voice from its loud and angry state to one more calm and professional. "Anyway, we're done here. Go to the director, you're being reassigned. I will be honest though, it was nice working with you two over the years even though you made my job harder sometimes."

"What?" Jason questioned in disbelief. "You're getting rid of us just like that?"

"I'm not qualified to have this conversation with you." He answered. "The director awaits you. Don't keep him waiting."

"Yes sir." Both Xyra and Jason replied as professional as they could, leaving the room.

After getting out the room, Xyra shot Jason a sincere look of gratitude. "Why'd you do it?" Her words were soft but loud enough for him to hear.
