Another week of touring passed, and I was realized that we were approaching the half way mark of the tour. We were in San Francisco, the weather was gorgeous and Hunter had the whole day off. I looked up from my textbook, "What's on the agenda today?"
"You and I have the entire day to ourselves," he smiled, handing me a cup of coffee."We can go to the beach, we can go shopping..." I cocked an eyebrow.
"Shopping?" I smiled, "I'm honestly so content spending time with you. We can do anything."
"Can you be ready in an hour? I have an idea." I nodded and Hunter smiled.
An hour later we headed out hand in hand and began walking when I saw it in the distance. Hunter piped up, "I noticed you're a big fan of Full House..." the Golden Gate Bridge was becoming more clear as Hunter and I walked down to the bay. "Now my Netflix is suggesting we watch 'Fuller House'," he laughed. We spent a good hour and a half walking through the streets, we saw the famous house and park from Full House, grabbed ice cream and even road a trolley.
"This is was so fun," I kissed Hunter's cheek, "you are full of sweet surprises."
"You deserve it." We walked hand in hand, eventually making our way back to the hotel. Hunter was updating me about the plans for the next two days. "We are going to leave early tomorrow and head to LA, I'm going to be on Ellen. She may ask, she may not - but how do you feel about me telling people we are together."
"I'm good with it," I reached my hand across the dinner table, squeezing his, "it's bound to come out eventually."
He nodded and continued, "I just don't want to rush anything." We continued talking about school, my parents and what the next few days had in store. I found myself still feeling like I was in some sort of dream. We made our way into the hotel room and began packing up to head back out to the bus.
"Thank you for today, and for everything. The little surprises, the meals, the time I'm taking from your work..." Hunter smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Thank you for trusting me and coming out here. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to show you how much I care." His blue eyes were sparkling. He kissed me and hugged me right before we continued packing up.
The drive to LA was an overnighter, and I woke up to Hunter gently rubbing my shoulder, "Hey, I gotta go for filming. You can sleep in." Barely awake I mumbled something along the lines of okay/ sounds good.
When I finally came to, I heard some chatter at the front of the bus. The time read eleven thirty. "Holy crap," I shouted. I heard Sam faintly, "I think she's up."
"Hey sleeping beauty," Hunter knocked on the door before cracking it open. He found me shuffling through my bag for something to wear. "You must have been more tired than you thought." I nodded.
"Sorry, I normally don't sleep in that late," laughing and shaking out a tee shirt. "I'm going to guess you finished your Ellen thing." He nodded, saying how it will be on tomorrow and we can watch it. Hunter excused himself as I got dressed and made my way to the front of the bus where the guys were hanging out. "Hey everyone," I smiled awkwardly, pouring myself a cup of coffee.
"How's road life treating you?" Matt asked
"Honestly not too bad. I must have been more tired than I realized. How are you guys? What's new and exciting?" We chatted for a little, getting to know each other better. The routine continued and before I knew it, Hunter was setting up for coffeehouse, and tonight's show. I have joined almost every coffeehouse and sat side stage to every show, I was almost dreading this tour coming to an end.
