Chapter 13 - A Kiss

So this is a super long chapter for the lack of writing I did over the weekend.

My stories I've read are pretty short I thought I might make mine drag on a bit leading to good stuff. And a tiny bit more of Lee he's so underrated.

I woke up to Lee sitting at the edge of the bed staring at me. I slowly pull myself up trying to blink the sleep away. The clock is showing that it's only 9:00am, I really hate mornings.

"Shelly what happened last night? I can remember somethings but there all really blurry. Did I really kiss Mia or did I just dream it?" You can hear his voice starting to shake with shock that it might actually be true and not from his imagination.

"Lee one minute you were with me and the next you apparently did multiple shots of vodka. When I realized you disappeared on me I went on a hunt to find you. Then I did and you were all of Mia making out with her. I stopped it right away and made you come home, plus I did a lot of yelling on our way home." My throat was hurting this morning from all that yelling I did last night.

Lee just sits there looking confused and hurt but before he could say anything else. I told him that he called Rachel and some guy picked up saying she was in the shower. That when the drinking really started to happen.

"You told me last night that you regretted it but did it in spite of her. Oh and I called Noah because I didn't know what else to do." I can see on his face that he's mad at me for calling him.

"Elle you didn't need to call him at school! oh shit it must've been super late for him too. You probably got him all worried about nothing well not nothing, you know what I mean." He gave me a stern look.

"Well sorry I didn't know what else to do and I was starting to feel bad for screaming at you. Well are you going to call her? I wanna know what she has to say." My hands go up in a waving motion to shoo him away and get some answers.

As Lee leaves the room my phone starts to ring, I see his face Noah! It's a FaceTime thank god I don't think I could have texted him or just talked over the phone, I needed to see his emotions as I told him the story.

"Hey Shelly! Is everything ok? I was worried all night. Can you tell me what the hell happened last night at that party?" You could just see the worry lines on his face.

"Yeah it's almost all good. Lee just in his room trying to call Rachel and ask her who the other guy was. All it was was lee called Rachel last night,some random guy picked up and lee ended up getting wasted. Other than that the party was pretty good Tuppen says hi and misses you on the football team."

Almost everyone at the party talked how Noah and how he was one of the best on the team. Well this year without him kind of sucks the team hasn't won a game yet.

"Elle I'm happy nothing happened to you, thank god! I got worried with the late phone call like that. I was ready to hop on a plain, you really freaked me out." He was defiantly agree with me.

"Have I told you today how much I love you!" I'm trying to change the subject so he doesn't keep freaking out. "And how attractive you look right now." It's working.

He's trying to hide his smile, his oh so sexy smile. "Hey your changing the subject! Yes I love you too Elle." Full on grim is on his face now.

"Please just forget about it. When do I get to see you in person?" I truly missed his touch.

"Soon thats all I can say Shelly soon."  That smirk was back on his face. He's totally up to something.

Before I can say something back to him Lee came running into the room and hoped on the bed.

"Hey bro! Sorry she called you last night, it was kind of a miss understanding. The guy on the phone was her cousin. I'm a huge dick though I didn't tell her I made out with Mia, should I tell her? Noah I need you option, sorry Elle." He shrugged his shoulders at me with an apologetic smile.

"Okay fine talk to Noah about it and not me your best friend." I was kind of disappointed he didn't want my output.

"Sorry Shelly, I need a guys option and Noah's my brother to so." He says with a I'm sorry I need bro time voice.

"Fine. I'll let you guys talk. I'm going to take a shower and wash the smell of beer off me." Looking at Noah's beautiful brown eyes through this tiny ass phone. "I'll call you later so we can talk a bit more about us and not Lee." I shoot him a look and stick out my tongue. "Love you lots Noah!" Blowing him a kiss though the phone.

"Bye Shelly, love you more!" He catches my kiss and puts it on his cheek.

I hand my phone over to Lee so they can figure out what kind of mess Lee got himself into.

After my shower I head back to Noah's room to put on some clothes and go downstairs to eat. I'm staving, Lee's already making eggs and bacon for me when I get down stairs. I pull a chair up the island without saying a word to lee and started to eat.

Lee pulls a chair beside me, "Noah thinks I shouldn't tell her about the kiss." He takes a sip of orange juice trying not to make eye contact with me. I shoot him a look like your going to listen to him. Noah and I hid out relationship all of last year and that didn't end well when people found out.

In a low voice lee went on to say, "The kiss didn't mean anything and he's was saying if I tell her then she'll break up with me. He also said it was all up to me, and well I need your option on this too. Shelly I don't want to feel guilty keeping this from her."

Right when I was about to say go and FaceTime her again and tell her the truth. He continues and says the words right out of my mouth. "I'll tell her I kissed Mia but I was totally drunk and misunderstood the situation. With he cousin picking up the phone and not a random guy." He looked convinced.

I cleaned up the kitchen, left Lee a little note saying I went home to do some homework. I would text but leaving a not is so old school and cute.

The walk home was lovely it wasn't cold but not hot the sun kissed my pale skin. The trees whistled with the cool breeze of the wind, bird were chirping away. It was so nice to be outside in the fresh California air.

Dad and Brad were in the living room playing some new car video game he got from Mr.Flynn a couple days ago. Brad's 10 with long curly hair and light brown eyes. He's trying to teach dad to play but dad just keeps crashing into the other cars.

"Hey guys nice to see you too." I say loud enough for them both to jump and turn around.

"Elle dad sucks at video games. I can play better then him with my eyes closed." Shaking his brown locks and laughing at his own joke.

"Ow that hurt, I was trying but these games keep getting harder as the years go by." He said with a heavy sign.

"I'll be in my room doing homework call me when dinner is ready." My voice trailed off as I made my way upstairs.

A couple hours into my massive pile of homework I get a text from Lee.

Lee: I talked to her...
Elle: what did you say to her? Did you guys FaceTime?
Lee: No she FaceTime, we talked on the phone tho.
Lee: I told her everything. I said I was so sorry for kissing someone else btw I didn't tell her it was Mia I couldn't do that.
Elle: I'm proud of you for telling her. It's ok about not saying who the kiss was with. What did she say about the two of you?
Lee: That she needed some time to think things through. I get where she's coming from but we've been through so much. With her lying and moving away almost without telling me. Maybe we aren't meant to be Shelly.

This chapter has over 1400 words!! I hope you'll like it.
