Chapter 4

Year X784

Luna sighed as she laid down on the green summer grass. The sun warming her skin since her last quest at Mt. Hakobe to defeat some Vulcan. On her wrist that used to have three magic limiters now has five, sadly. Her magic had grown quite a bit when they put some magic power in her.

She had grown a lot since the explosion of the lab which she learned was called the Bureau of Magical Development. She snorted at the fancy name. She then glanced behind her guild which was named the Dragoon Mark. A red dragon was the guild's mascot with flaming wings and a golden diamond-shaped eye. The guild was known as a good guild that constantly helps wondering mages and other guilds at least that's what they told her.

They actually helped Luna when she was stranded and when Ultear had suddenly vanished on her while sleeping. Luna remembered that she was tired and parts of her clothes were ripped and were covered in scorch marks. Her muscles had felt like lead and her head was spinning over and over and over. Pretty much similar to being a really, really bad cold.

When she arrived into town, a guy named Shiro had found her passed out on the middle of the empty night street. He healed her and introduced her to the guild. They were nice and all but Luna just had a feeling that something just isn't right about this guild. Especially when they put something called a dragon lacrima inside her.

They only let her out to go on missions and she was constantly told not to reveal the white guild mark on her top left arm.

Luna shrugged the feeling off. Maybe she was just being paranoid.

"Yo!" A boy's voice yelled in the guild. "Luna! C'mon! Master Yuroshi wants us to go and defeat some dark guild! Team Shiro is going on another mission!"

Luna rolled her eyes as she looked up at the older boy. He was about 18 years old with purple spiky hair, an X scar on his right eye which he said was caused by a wizard. He grinned as he held his hand up towards her. His purple cloak flying behind him. He was wearing a regular white t-shirt with black jeans.

She stood up and stared at him. After a few awkward minutes of silence, she finally said, "Team Shiro?"

His smile faltered. "Yeah! Oh, and we don't have the same mission. Master said that you and Kat are the only ones going on a special mission while the rest of the team go on another mission somewhere else! Yours is at Master Bob's second home. See ya later!"

She stood there dumbfounded as she saw the boy leave out of her sight. She then sighed and yelled, "Kat! C'mon! We have another mission to go to! From the old man himself!"

In an instant, a pink exceed flew from the guild hall and tackled her in a hug. "Finally!" She yelled as her dress swayed back and forth from the wind. A baby blue bow was placed on her right ear and her blue guild mark was located on her back. "Haha! We have a mission from Sir Yuroshi himself! Let's gooo!" She then pulled out her angel-like wings out and picked Luna up from around the waist.

"Umm, Kat. We have to ride a carriage..." The thought made Luna sick.

She grinned. "Screw that! We'll just fly there!"

Luna returned with her own grin. "Agreed! To Pervert Bob's second home! Here we gooo!" She raised her fists which was now filled with lightning.

"Ugh!" Luna groaned after Kat had ran out of magic power and was forced to ride a carriage. "Are we there yet?"

Kat shook her head. "Nope."

"Are we-" she started to turn green. "There yet!"

Kat sighed and climbed on top of Luna's head. She began petting her with her paws and purr. "Better?"
