The next morning, Stiles had come up to Scott and I, telling us how he listened in on another one of his dad's calls. Apparently, someone had robbed a grave last night and took a liver?
"Are you sure it was a liver?" I asked Stiles while me, him, and Scott sat down at a table. "I mean..from what i've gathered from Lydia...she doesn't really seem like the type to...eat someone's liver."
"Yeah well when you're transforming...you change." Stiles pointed out the obvious as Scott shot me a look before I shot one back at him, telling him to keep quiet.
Stiles still had no idea about my werewolf side, let alone my Alpha status. And him not knowing anything is how I would like to keep it. I actually thought it would be a lot harder but Stiles being 'in love with me' as Scott so boldly put it, really makes things a whole lot easier. Hopefully, thinks stay the way they are...at least until I can think of a better way to tell Stiles without him freaking out completely.
"I didn't say she ate it..I just said it was missing." Stiles rolled his eyes slightly at me while I exchanged a look with Scott.
"So Lydia's still running around...what do we do? I mean...what if the person she attacks next is alive?" I asked the two of them, already forming some sort of plan in my head to try and track Lydia. But first I would need Scott to distract Stiles while I look. Between the two of us, we know that I'm the better tracker. After all, I've been a werewolf for far longer.
"Wait a minute." Stiles said before turning towards Scott. "You're the test case when it comes to this thing. When you were bit, what were you drawn to Scott?"
Stiles and I both looked over at Scott, waiting for him to say something. But of course, he answered with his more than obvious one word answer. "Allison."
Stiles and I both groaned. "Nothing else?" We questioned him.
"Nothing else mattered." Scott answered with a stupid lovey dovey face.
Stiles and I both groaned before trying to find some way of finding out what really happened at the graveyard. I mean..what if someone saw something? Anything really would be an excellent sign as to what the hell is going on and if Lydia is in fact...
turning.
"Was there any witnesses?" I looked over at Stiles.
He shook his head but then he had this look on his face like a light bulb just went off. "Actually..I heard my dad say over the phone how Isaac Lahey was there..he was the only witness apparently he was working his shift at the graveyard when he got attacked and whatever the hell grave robbed the corpse."
I sighed. "Well, looks like we need to get closer..." They both looked at me confused before I rolled my eyes, fixing my shirt and my hair. "We need answers, and apparently Isaac is our best lead. So...in Chem, i'll ask him to be my partner for the project and hopefully I can get him to spill whatever the hell he saw."
Stiles had this uncertain look on his face which caused me to chuckle slightly. "What?" I looked over at him.
"Nothing, it's just..." I listened to his heartbeat as it rose over 'nothing'. "I just...there's other way to know what Isaac saw." Stiles tried arguing but I just laughed before placing a small kiss on his lips.
"There's nothing to worry about okay? I'll be fine..I'm a big girl and I can handle myself." I smiled lightly while Scott just pretended to throw up at the sight of us kissing. "Besides, when i first came to town, Isaac was kind enough to show me around before I met you two idiots. Isaac's a nice guy so I'm sure he'll tell me whatever it is that he saw." I smiled confidently while Stiles still went on to say what a bad idea it was. "He won't hurt me.." I smiled warmly at Stiles who just groaned in defeat while we all got up to start walking towards our classes.
