As soon as we got to Isaac's house, he offered me something to drink, which I took with a smile. He asked me where I wanted to work and I just replied with his room since his computer and printer were in there according to him. While we were walking to his room, I could hear his heartbeat rising. I smiled to myself, thinking about how Isaac probably never had a girl over, let alone in his room. But as we were walking down the hall, something caught my eye.
I turned my head to look at the picture on the wall of someone who kind of looked like Isaac hanging on the wall wearing an army uniform. I just looked at the picture, completely blanking out as Isaac seemed to read my mind and answer the question I was asking myself mentally.
"That's my brother Camden..he was in the army.." Isaac looked down at the ground while I turned to look at him with a confused look.
"Was?" I asked.
"He died in combat..." Isaac looked at the ground.
My face dropped a little as I suddenly felt... myself getting all teary eyed for him while I just looked at him with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry..." I put a hand on his shoulder, giving him a look that read 'i know what you're going through' and 'i'm here if you need to talk'. He thanked me before opening the door to his bedroom while I set my things down and took a seat on his bed, taking out everything we would need for the project.
While I was taking my things out, another picture sitting near his bed caught my eyes. I looked at a picture of what seemed to be Isaac's whole family. "Is this you when you were a kid? You were so cute!" I teased him while he laughed a little before looking down at his shoes. "Something I said...?" I asked him, completely unaware of why he looked like I ripped his heart out of his chest.
"It's nothing..."
I heard his heartbeat rise over 'nothing' so I knew he was lying, but any person could see that he was in fact not fine at all. "I know you're lying...so tell me what's wrong...you can trust me.." I told him, offering him a look so he would feel safe enough to talk.
Isaac sighed. "Nothing...it's just...that's my mom..."
"She's beautiful..." I smiled. "You have her eyes."
"Yeah...she was the best.." Isaac looked down.
"What do you mean was..?"
"She passed away when I was little..." Isaac said and I could tell by his heartbeat and the sound in his voice that it still hurt him pretty deeply. I walked over to Isaac and instantly wrapped my arms around him, pulling him close.
I know this is pretty unreal for me, considering that I hate everything feelings but...I know what it's like to loose your mother and well..basically your family. I heard rumors about Isaac's dad... I guess that's why he prefers to be alone or whatever. I slowly pulled away before blushing slightly. "Sorry..." I blushed slightly. "I just...I know what it's like to loose someone close to you...I know that we don't exactly know each other very well and we're not exactly bff's or anything...but...just know that if you ever need to talk to someone, you can talk to me anytime you want.." I offered Isaac a soft smile while he nodded his head.
"Thank you.." He smiled "It's nice to think about...having someone to talk to about stuff." Isaac shrugged his shoulders before we exchanged smiles then starting to work on our project.

A while longer, with the sun already down, I found myself getting more off track of the plan I had come up with in the first place. As Isaac and I worked on our project, we began talking, getting to know each other and found we had a lot in common. It was kind of nice to talk to someone new for a change, not that I don't love talking to Scott, Allison, and Stiles...It's just... I've never really been good at making friends considering the whole Alpha werewolf thing..
