The bus pulled up to the driveway of my house and came to a complete stop. I stood up and walked to the front to get off. The bus driver, as usual, told me to have a good night and that she would see me on Monday. I replied with the same sentence and took to the steps. Getting off the last step, the doors closed and I turned around to wave at my friend that I sit with. She waved back and went back to her music as I did the same. As I arrived to the front of the house, No More Dream by BTS started playing and I cursed myself out. That happens all the time, I can be in the car and when I arrive at my destination, a good song comes on and I'll have to leave. I walked up to the house that I was living in. It was yellow with a small, flower garden near the porch. We moved into the house a year ago after we left New York. I walked up the steps and took out my earbuds. I turned off my music and wrapped the wire around my phone. I entered the house quietly to take off my shoes and place them on the matt where they belonged. I could usually hear my parents talking, but there wasn't a sound through the whole house. I walked into the living room to see if they were on their phones and didn't hear me come in or if I could find a note of some sort.
Once you walk into the living room, you are greeted by a table with a picture of my mom and dad's wedding, a bowl where my mom keeps the car keys, two vases with some kind of plant, and a candle holder with a candle. In front of the table, was the couch with two pillows on the left side. To the right, was another couch with the same pillows only positioned to the right. Next was a little stand with a lamp and a candle. A chair and pillow came next with another stand, a lamp, a wedding picture, and a coaster. A second chair and pillow to the right, and a candle holder hung on the wall with two candles. Than, there was the ever so heavy, four shelved stand. It held really old knickknacks and a painting of a flower on top. A third stand came next with a pot filled with red flowers. A fourth stand sat next to the couch with a lamp. I looked around the living room and I didn't see my parents or a note. I decided to go to the kitchen.
Turning into the kitchen, I was met with the pantry door. It's not very big, it's only a few shelves with canned goods, and other dry ingredients. A TV hung on the wall next to it and the fridge came next with a cupboard above it. Next was the dishwasher, the sink, cabinets, and the stove. In the middle was a little island with bar stools. No sign of my parents or a note. I tried the upstairs.
I tried their bedroom first. The floor was all carpeting and was very soft. They had a queen sized bed with the colors black and white for the sheets, blankets, and pillows. Above the headboard, hung more pictures of their wedding and two lamps on either side of the wall. To the right of the bed was a small stand that held the Bible and a journal. To the left of the bed was another stand that held my dad's slippers. A plant came next and than the dresser they shared. The top held another plant, small clear glass bottles on a tray, and a lamp. They weren't there either nor was there a note. I tried the bathroom.
I knocked on the door, but it was opened. I quietly snuck in to look around. The sink was built into the wall with the mirror above it. The toilet was to the left along with the shower that had glass doors. Still no one. I tried my bedroom next.
My bedroom was hardwood flooring, so I had to have a rug. I threw my backpack and shoes into one of the compartments of the bed. The room was purple and I loved it. My bed had a top bunk and a bottom bunk with a ladder connecting them. There were three compartments on the bottom that had my chargers, earbuds and anything else. On the side was seven more with my clothes, shoes, and my backpack. On the wall above the top bunk were pictures of me when I was a baby. To the left were two shelves with books. Than came my desk with a chair, a lamp and two boxes. There I found a note.
Daddy and I went out for our anniversary. Jenny will be over around five, so make sure your home. You can find something to eat, I'm sure. Mommy and Daddy love you and we'll see you when we get home. Bye.
