My alarm woke me up at eight since Jenny's grandma wanted us up early. We took showers last night, but she wanted us to take one in the morning so we were clean for the rest of the family. I took out my shower necessities and went to the bathroom. I lathered up my body and reminded myself to take my weight pill. I rinsed and started on my hair which was weird since it was shorter from the haircut my cousin did. I rinsed and stepped out to dry off. I walked over to the sink and looked in the mirror. My face was it's normal color, so I guessed it was lack of sunlight. I scrubbed and rinsed my face to do the same thing with my teeth. I combed my hair and grabbed what I had. I returned to the room I was in and opened up the curtains and windows to let in some air. A gust of wind came through and it was cold being first thing in the morning. I put the stuff back in the bag and got dressed. I put on a white t-shirt, a red and white flannel, shorts, and my sneakers. I snuck out of my room to go downstairs.

I walked down the staircase and to the living room. I didn't see anyone so I sat on the couch. I held my head in my hands and let my mind wonder. I do that a lot when I'm alone, I'll let my mind wonder and ask myself stupid questions. I started thinking about Jenny's family and if they would judge me about my appearance. I mean, I can't help I chose this path to go down I just feel comfortable wearing guy clothes. I heard the front door open and footsteps, but I decided to ignore them thinking it was Jenny's grandma and that she would just overlook me. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up. It was Mike. I gave him a smile.

"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked. I shook my head.

"N-nothing. What are you doing here so early?" I asked.

"Kenzie and I always come over early to help set up." he said. I nodded as he sat down. "You can tell me what's going on, I won't blab." he said throwing his arm around me making me smirk. He scooted closer to me and brought me in for a hug. I took in a deep breath.

"I just overthink a lot." I said. He gently rubbed my back and said it was going to be OK.

"Family problems?" he asked. I shook my head.

"No." I said laying my head on his shoulder.

"Friend problems?" he asked. I decided to lie and nodded.

"Yeah." I said.

"Boy or girl?" he asked.

"Boy." I said.

"Oooh, boy problems." he said. I grinned. I sat back up and went back to the position he found me in.

"I have a friend in the state of New York that I always hung around with, we were inseparable.  He called me one day and we like to say I love you to each other because we're like family. But, when he called me and he said I love you, it didn't sound like family." I explained. Mike nodded.

"Well, do you have any feelings for him?" he asked.

"I don't know. That's problem." I said. Mike nodded.

"Well, the only thing I can tell you is take sometime to write out your feelings for him. Once you're done, look them over and than decide. Try and have a face to face conversation with him in private and let him talk first. When he is done, you start talking. Once both of your feelings are out, than decide what step to take next." he said smiling at me.

"That's kind of like what Jenny said." I said smiling.

"Her and I have the same mind, so does Kenzie." he said.

"Is that your plan for Jenny? Are you gonna do it today?" I asked. He nodded.

"Maybe not today, but someday." he said. I wriggled my arm around his waist.
