I woke up Sunday morning at eight. I was on my back starring up at the ceiling as Jenny shifted in the bed below me. Deciding I was up, I climbed down the ladder and grabbed what I needed for a shower. I walked to the bathroom noticing the door was ajar only part way. I quietly and carefully opened it to see no one and I closed it. I washed up, did my routine, and got dressed. I threw on a red and black, checkered shirt,  jean shorts, and my red shoes. I went back to my room to see Jenny up to get dressed. I snuck in to throw my pajamas on my bed and ran downstairs. We had the house to ourselves since today both of my parents were working. Jenny came down wearing a plain, strapless black dress and black converse. I was sitting at the island, scrolling through my Instagram when she sat beside me. I was thinking about what to make for breakfast. I forgot I started my summer job working at a restaurant with my friend. Her aunt and uncle owns the place, so I got to know them very well. I ran upstairs to grab my hat and my wallet. I plopped my hat on my head and clipped the chain of my wallet on my belt loop and stuffed my wallet in my pocket. I returned downstairs to see Jenny on the porch, leaning up against the poll that was connected to the roof and the porch boarding. We went down to the near by doughnut shop and got something for breakfast. Jenny ordered a ham and egg breakfast wrap with hash browns and a sour apple slushy. I just wanted a glazed doughnut and a watermelon slushy. I paid for the food and we sat down at a table near the window. I kinda forgot what was on my wallet until Jenny brought it up.

"What's that on your wallet?" she asked. I looked at it and realized what it was. It was black with a purple gender symbol on it.

"Oh, it's just a famous singers symbol, I used to sing his songs in the station." I said.

"What's his name?" she asked.

"Prince." I said taking a sip of my drink.

"Oh, nice." she said eating her wrap. We threw away our garbage when we were finished and started walking back to the house.

"So, you ready for tomorrow?" Jenny asked.

"No, not at all." I said.

"Neither am I." said Jenny shaking her head.

"When are you leaving for Alabama?" I asked.

"This Friday. I know it's really sudden of me asking you to join, my parents just told me about it before I came over. They said I could bring a friend and you were the first person I thought of." she said. I nodded my head.

"For how long?" I asked.

"A week." she said. "We leave at four in the morning and God only knows when We'll arrive. We stay at my Grandmas house and the reunion is on Saturday. We stay for a week so I can catch up with my friends." Jenny explained.

"Oh, cool. I don't think my parents wouldn't mind to much. They're always working and hardly ever pay attention to me, so I don't see them saying no." I said. Jenny nodded her head. We came up to the driveway and my mom and dads cars were gone. I knew they were at work, so Jenny and I were alone.

"So, where do your parents work?" Jenny asked.

"My mom is the director of some over seas music business and my dad has his very own construction business. Both companies bring in good money, so we're able to afford really nice things." I said.

"I see. My mom's the owner of a fashion line and my dads business travels a lot, so he's never home." said Jenny hanging her head. She perked back up when I threw a stone, scarring her. I laughed to myself as a black and yellow car came up the driveway. My mom stepped out and ran in the house. She came back out with an envelope and opened her car door.

"Hey, mom. Can I go with Jenny to Alabama this weekend?" I asked.

"Sure, sweetie. How long will you be staying?" she asked.

"A week." I said.

"OK. I'll tell your father and we can make arrangements for you to go. Oh, next month we'll be going up to New York and if it's ok, Jenny can come." mom said.

"OK." I said. She got in her car and waved goodbye. Jenny and I waved as she backed out of the driveway.

"I'd love to go to New York." Jenny said. I quickly took out my phone and called Chris.

"Yeah." he answered.

"Chris, next month I'm coming to visit." I said.

"Oh my God, that's amazing. Is Jenny coming too?" he asked in excitement.

"If it's OK with her parents." I said.

"Oh my God." he said happily. "I have to get the guys and the bikers around." he said.

"Well, I'll let you go do that. I love you." I said.

"I love you too." he said and we hung up. It's been a year since we last seen each other and I don't know how we'll act towards one another.

"Where do you think we'll stay?" Jenny asked.

"Probably my aunts house." I said.

"The one that has the farm?" asked Jenny.

"Oh, she lost the farm years ago. There was a fire and it destroyed everything, but luckily her home owners insurance gave her enough money to rebuild it. She didn't rebuild it, instead she took to her own home and fixed it up. Now she has a big enough house to fit a lot of people, so we'll probably stay there." I said.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. But, at least she was able to do something good." Jenny said.

"Yeah." I said agreeing with her. It got towards noon and a red car pulled in the driveway.

"Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow." she said grabbing her stuff.

"Yep, see ya than." I said stepping up onto the porch. She put on her ocean blue sunglasses and got into her moms car. She waved as her mom pulled out and I waved back as I twisted my hat backwards. I went into the house to watch TV in the kitchen.
