Jenny and I woke up at four in the morning to get ready to leave. I dressed in a white shirt, shorts, and sneakers. I packed my toiletries and whatever else I had. I threw my bag on my back and headed downstairs. The adults were up and saying goodbye.
"I'll see ya later, mom." Jenny's dad said.
"Oh, call anytime." she said. They hugged and he went over to the door.
"See ya next time." Jenny's mom said.
"See ya than." she said. They hugged too and went over to the door
"See ya, grandma." Jenny said hugging her.
"See you next year, my baby." she said. They retracted from the hug and went over to the door.
"Oh, Toby. I was a pleasure meeting you, I hope you come down in the future." she said hugging me.
"I hope so to." I said hugging back. We walked over to the door and to the car. I carefully slipped my way in and buckled up. As we drove down the street, I followed the lights that passed by. Sleep took over and we continued to drive.
I could feel the sunrays on my face as it started to come up. I opened my eyes to see we stopped moving. I looked around and noticed we were at a gas station. Jenny's dad started the car back up and we continued down the road. Soon enough, we were back in Pennsylvania and entered our town. We pulled into my driveway and I gathered my things.
"I'll see ya later, Toby." Jenny said. "Thanks for coming." she added.
"See ya, thank you for letting me come." I said. Her parents and I said our goodbyes and thanks. I entered the house and greeted my parents.
"Welcome back." they said.
"Glad to be back." I said. I went up to my room and threw my clothes into my laundry basket. I took out my toiletries and headed to the bathroom. I washed up and started the washing machine. It was still early, so I dressed myself in a fresh pajama outfit and took a nap. I can say, that this summer vacation has started off fantastically. I hope next month will be just as fun.
