MJ POV
It turns out, moving houses is not really that difficult, lalo na kung si Maki ang asawa mo.
My wife is an angel sent from above. She was very hands on with the moving as she was still on leave from her job when we came back in the country. We spend a whole week packing her unit and moving into mine as the house was not really ready yet when we arrived. The designing and finishing the house took almost a month before we move in. We ended up buying a four-bedroom house in an exclusive subdivision in Taguig and it's a modern house with a two-car garage and a driveway that could accommodate a few more cars kung magdedecide kaming magkaroon ng dinner with friends. I've witness how keen Maki can be with details as she spend all of her free time designing the interiors of our house. I barely helped as I was bombarded with shoots left and right. It's also a good thing that Maki took over with all of the designing as I do not have the patience with it. And me, being the whipped one had only three kinds of response to her in the whole process; 1. I like that. 2. Yes. and 3. Whatever you want, Babe. The interior turned out as simple yet elegant and very much screams both Maki and I's personality. The living room has pristine white walls and furnitures with a glass coffee table and champagne pink rug placed in the middle. A few minimalist and modern vases is scattered around as well as few art pieces. The kitchen is a chef's dream and the dining area is cozy and not like those formal dining rooms you'll see in magazines. Our backyard is big enough to have a lanai with few lounge chairs, a swimming pool and a grass-filled area that could be turned in a mini playground if we decide to start a family. We turned one room into a home office slash library for the both of us as we both are avid readers and the other two spare rooms are built into guests rooms for our friends. The stairway wall is filled with enlarged random artsy photos I took that Maki chose. My favorite part of the house is the master bedroom; light gray walls, white carpet floor and a king sized bed. Twin night stands and lamps are placed on each side of the bed and a large candid photo from our wedding day is hanging right above our bed.
"Babe, tingin mo we can hold a housewarming sa weekend?" Rinig kong tanong ni Maki habang naghahanda siya ng breakfast naming dalawa. Here I am on the counter waiting like a child as she finish the pancake that she's cooking. She turned off the stove and I was turned on as she turned around, strut her way to the counter where I was seated and place a plate full of pancakes on top. She's wearing a simple sleeping shirt and very short shorts. See? I'm a lucky bitch to marry this woman! Hindi lang puso at tiyan ang busog, pati mata!
"Ooohhh! Great idea! We can prepare snacks and few bottles of wine! Tapos we can order food somewhere para di ka mapagod pagluluto!" Para akong bata na sinabihang pupunta sa Disneyland sa excitement.
"We'll go grocery shopping tonight and we'll inform the girls bukas sa lunch out natin." Natatawang saad naman ni Maki when she saw how excited I am.
MAKI POV
"Mrs. Ross, trouble in paradise?" Bati sa akin ni Kean as I take my seat and a pouting and frowning Mj trailed behind me. Its Wednesday and everyone's here for our lunch out.
