Mike POV
My hands were shaking out of nervousness. Also a little sweaty.
"Are you okay?" Will asked as he faced me. I agreed and stood up, I started fixing my blazer and turned to face Will.
"Is my collar okay?" I asked curiously. Will checked it and said it was fine.
"I can't believe this, Mike Wheeler taking Y/N to the spring formal and officially dating after." Will whispered, I nervously chuckled and felt a tap on my shoulder. Wills facial expression changed as he stared at who was behind me, Will then raised his brows.
I knew who was behind me.
I turned and was lost for words, my girlfriend looked gorgeous.
"Y/N, you look, you look stunning." I mumbled, she smiled and looked down.
Then she looked up at me and reached for my hand,
"I know last time you attended a school ball it was with Eleven, I just want to say I'm sorry abo- Shh, don't even bring that up. Tonight's about making new memories, about me and you." I spoke interrupting y/n.
Our hands intertwined and I brought her to the dance floor, my hands rested on her hips and her arms wrapped around me.
Tonight wasn't about me and El, it was about me and my girl.
Just because of my past, she shouldn't compare my old relationship with the one we have.
"You and me." I mumbled as we swayed, Y/N smiled and leaned her head onto my shoulder.
I grinned and pulled her closer towards me. My grip tighten, I wanted her to feel safe in my arms.
Y/N POV
We swayed side to side, his soft smile made me weak.
"And you believed I wouldn't fall for you... Look at us now." I mumbled and looked into his eyes, Mike grinned and leaned his forehead onto mine, we both rested our foreheads on one another's.
"Happy one month Mike." I whispered, Mike blinked and he sniffled.
"You make me so happy. My mornings are happier because I get to walk you to school, and back home. You made me happier in general, the best part of my days is just being with you. I- I love you." Mike mumbled, I smiled and felt like crying. He dropped the L-bomb on me.
I leaned in to kiss him. Both of us smiling during the kiss.
"I love you too, Mike Wheeler." I whispered as I pulled away from his lips.
