Chapter 35

Camila's POV:
I woke up and Lauren was cuddled up to me. I got out of her grasp and went to the bathroom. I made sure I brought my makeup to cover up my face from Lauren. I went in the bathroom and shut and locked the door. I turned the shower on warm water and got undressed and got in. I washed my hair and I kept thinking about Lauren but then my mind drifts back to her reaction when she sees my face all beaten up. I don't wanna tell her but she's gonna find out anyway. I finished rinsing my hair and washed my body and got out. I wrapped a towel around my body and around my hair. I dried my face and looked at my face in the mirror and it had bruises and my nose looked even worse. It was swollen and I went to touch it but it was so sore I couldn't without it hurting. I need to go have my nose checked but how am I going to do that without telling Lauren. I heard some footsteps near the bathroom and I started to cover my face up with makeup. I covered most of it up and looked in the mirror again and you could barely see the bruises. It looked like I didn't even get hit. I went to get dressed but I left my clothes in my room. I opened the bathroom door and I didn't see Lauren in there so I grabbed my clothes and went back in the bathroom. I got dressed and dried my hair and left the bathroom. I grabbed my phone and saw I had messages from Dinah, Mani, and Ally. I read Dinah's first and it was just her apologizing for what she did. I texted back saying it was fine and I went to read Ally's and she was apologizing for Normani hitting me and that she believes me about not cheating on Lauren. I replied to her by saying thank you for believing me and I'm fine, nothing major was broken. Then I read Normani's last and she said she would ask Lauren if I'm telling the truth or not and that she's sorry for hitting me. I told her it was fine as long as she would listen to Lauren and not jump to conclusions. She texted me back saying she wouldn't. I went downstairs and saw my parents,Sofia, and Lauren eating breakfast. They didn't lay any attention to me and I made my plate and went outside to eat. I finished and made my way back inside and out my plate in the sink and went back to my room unnoticed. I went back on my phone and checked my social media for anything new but nothing good is happening. I got bored so I decided to go for a walk. I got dressed and made my way downstairs and out the door and walked down the sidewalk. I was near the park when I got a text from Lauren asking where I was. I told her I went for a walk and she texted me back saying that I should of told her before leaving. I texted her back saying how she didn't even notice me walk in the kitchen twice. She said that she didn't mean to and I just put my phone back in my pocket and continued walking. I walked through the park and the sky started getting darker and it started to rain. Fuck I should of checked the weather before I left. It started pouring down and I ran to somewhere to get out of the rain. I found a place and sat down under it. I checked the time and saw that I've been gone for at least 6 hours and saw that it was almost 4. I checked the battery on my phone and it still had a good charge on it. The rain still hasn't slowed down yet. I saw my reflection on my phone and saw most of the makeup had cams off my face. I looked around and saw that I was near a restaurant and it was still open. I put my phone up and stood up and ran towards it. I made it inside the building and went to the bathroom to dry my face and to get the makeup off. I cleaned my face and all the makeup had washed off. I exited the restaurant and just sat down where I wouldn't get wet. My phone started ringing and I picked it up and answered it without checking the caller I'd. "Hello" I said. "Oh my god babe. Thank god you answered. Where are you? I'm worried about you and it's pouring down rain." I heard Lauren say. "Lo I'm fine. I'm near a restaurant and i just got a little wet from the rain." I told her. I stood up and decided to walk home while it was raining. I just wanted to get home and lay down and relax. "Babe stay there. I'm coming to get you" She said. "Babe don't do that. I'm already on my way home. Just stay there and wait for me ok." I said. "Is someone driving you" "Don't worry about it. I'm almost there anyway." I said and hung up. I was walking by the park almost near my house and I saw a truck and I decided to stick my hand out for them to stop. They stopped near me and rolled down their window. "Yes How May I help you" the driver asked. "Can you give me a ride home. It's not that far. I can just get in the back fo your truck so I don't get your seat wet." I told them. They let me and they drove me home and I gave him some money for doing it but he wouldn't take it. "Take it sir. You probably need it more than me." I said and gave the $50 back to him. "Ok. Thank you." They said and drive off. I just waved at them and they waved back. I turned around and made my way inside my house. As soon as I opened the door everyone's head turned towards me. My parents and Sofi came running towards me and hugged me saying they missed me and how they were worried. "Guys, guys. I'm fine. It was just raining." I told them and they just nodded and went back to what they were doing. They didn't notice my face and Lauren came up to me next and hit my shoulder. "Ow. What was that for Lo" I asked while rubbing my shoulder. "You should of let me go get you and drive you back home but you decided to walk back" she said. "Hey Lo. I was at the restaurant when you called me and I told you not to come get me because I was gonna get a ride home. Nobody was near or at the restaurant so I decided to walk home and I made it to the park when I saw a truck driving and I stopped them and I got in the back of their truck and they drove me home. I paid them for it also and now I'm here." I told her as I went to my room to put better clothes on and to get out of the wet ones. She followed me and watched me get dressed. I went to take a shower and she just waited for me. She didn't notice my face either but she probably will when I go back in there. I took my shower and put on the dry clothes. I dried my face and checked it in the mirror. You could still see the bruises and everything. I left the bathroom and went to my room and saw Lauren lay my down on her phone. I sat down next to her and got my phone out and checked for any messages and I didn't have any. So I just put my phone on charge and grabbed my backpack and got my books out and started to do my work. I didn't have school because we were on some type of break for 2 weeks. I looked up and saw Lauren still on her phone. I grabbed my phone and put my earbuds in and put on some music. I was doing my homework until Lauren grabbed my books and put them away and took my earbuds out. "What Lauren? I was doing my homework for school." I told her and she just ignored me. I didn't look up at her and went to grab my work again when she stopped me and grabbed my hands. "Camz, babe. Look at me, please." She said and I still didn't look up. "Babe I wanna see if where my mom hit you if it left a mark or not." She asked. Hah that's not her mark. That's Dinah's and your friends mark where they hit me. I still didn't look up and she grabbed my face and I just winced in pain and she let go. I touched my face because I felt something wet and it was blood from some of the cuts on me. I got up without looking at her and went to the bathroom and cleaned it from where it was bleeding. I saw Lauren coming and I put my head down and she came up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist. "Babe. Please let me see your pretty face." She said in a sad tone. "My face doesn't look pretty." I mumbled quietly but she heard me. "What do you mean it doesn't look pretty Camz" she asked and I just gave up and put my hands on my face and lifted my head to meet her gaze in the mirror. She grabbed my hands and pulled them down by my sides. She gasped when she saw my face. "Babe who did this to you?" She asked my touching my face gently careful not to hurt me. I didn't want to tell her but I had to because she was gonna get me to say it anyway. I just looked at her and sighed. "Was it your friend who did this to you?" She asked. "Uhm... not exactly." I said. "Huh, What do you mean not exactly." "She wasn't the only one who did this" I told her while I went back to my room and started to get dressed. I saw her come back in the room. "Camz. What are you doing?" She asked. "What does it look like I'm doing. I'm getting dressed and going to the hospital." I told her. "Why what's wrong?" She said as she rushed over to me. "I need to check my nose. It's really sore and I can't touch it. It looks out of place" I told her as I got up and grabbed a jacket and my car keys. I was headed to my car when Lauren followed me and got in the car with me. "I'm going with you." She told me. "Ok" I said and headed to the hospital.
