Jungkook nervously tapped his foot on the floor as he sat on the couch.
His mother smiled at him warmly."Don't worry honey, he will arrive soon."
Jungkook nodded but his stomach was twisting and turning. He had been waiting Taehyung for an hour now and he felt something was wrong. Yet he didn't know where the older lived.
So Jungkook just continued trying to distract himself.
1:15 pm
"Please let me go....he's a very good person and-"
Mr Kim threw his empty beer bottle across the room and it shattered into tiny pieces. Taehyung silently stared at the floor and hoped his dad's rage will fade."You little shit-"
A knock was heard on the door and Mr Kim immediately fixed his black shirt and belt. As he went to the door he sent a last glare in Taehyung's direction before opening.
And just like that the glare was off his face.
A very beautiful woman with a red suit stood there, her bangs almost covering her eyes. Her thin lips turned into a smile and she bowed."Kim Sihyuk, hello. My name is Kang Seulgi and I'm sent by the council."
Taehyung's head snapped up and he peeked from behind his dad.
"Oh hi there!", Seulgi waved and beamed."You're very beautiful! You must be Taehyung?"
The boy nodded and Seulgi needed nothing more.
She clapped happily."Come on. Your soulmate is waiting."
"His soulmate is waiting what?", Sihyuk furrowed his brows and eyed the woman suspiciously."Didn't your son tell you? Because of the thorn string there's the possibility to be fixed within a month. He will live with his soulmate at an apartment chosen by the council. That's our final decision.", Seulgi turned even more happy when Mr Kim's face distorted in anger.
"Come on, little one. Your luggage will be collected by us tomorrow and delivered as soon as possible to your new place.", Seulgi shamelessly pulled Taehyung outside of the house and walked him to the black car waiting in front.
Kim Sihyuk clenched his fists and took out his phone to dial a number. He was going to find out what it means the mind and soul part in having a soulmate. And he was going to make Taehyung regret leaving him.
1:45 pm
"Welcome.", Mrs Jeon couldn't stop staring as Seulgi entered."Jeon Jungkook?"
The said boy lifted his head up."Come on. Your soulmate's waiting outside."
2:30 pm
They were finally there. In an apartment away from their homes.
Jungkook couldn't stop admiring the spacious rooms and fridge stuffed with food.
And Taehyung just sat frozen on the couch, eyes empty, hands shaking.
Jungkook kneeled in front of his soulmate."Hey? Are you hungry?"
Taehyung shook his head.
Jungkook thought for a bit but then gathered courage and held Taehyung's hands."Listen...I know you're nervous...just...know that we're together in this, okay?"
Taehyung nodded and stared at the younger's clear cute eyes.
Maybe he could like him. Just maybe.
