IT WAS ONLY A FEW MINUTES LATER when Ben came down without Mal and that rose questions immediately.
"Where's Mal?" Evie asked before Ben fully made it down the stairs.
"She's not coming back," Ben answered with a monotone voice. He took off and Evie said she'd talk to Mal. I kept my eyes on the ally Ben went into, making sure he stayed safe. Evie talked to Mal, but when Mal yelled 'Go away!', my head snapped in Evie's direction. Mal would hardly ever yell at Evie. Evie looked taken back and Jay told her to give her some time. I looked back at the ally and Ben was gone. I walked into the ally some more but couldn't find him. Really? I'm not watching him for one second and he's gone. He's worse than Hermes.
"Guys, Ben's gone," I called out.
"What do you mean 'gone'?" Carlos questioned as they headed towards me.
"I mean that he made himself invisible," I stated sarcastically. "What do you think?!" He put his hands up in defence.
"Ben? Ben!" Evie called out into the ally, but I already knew that Ben wasn't there. A figure came towards us and Evie assumed it was Ben. "Ben, don't scare us like that." Evie scolded, but I knew who this was and he was definitely not Ben.
"Don't scare you? But that's my speciality." Harry Hook smirked. I rolled my eyes and scoffed.
"Please, it will take more than a wannabe pirate to scare me, Hook." I shook my head and chuckled tauntingly. He hummed.
"Sure it will. You still as tough as you were, Hadee? Or have you gone soft? I bet you've started singing songs about happiness." He teased as he lifted my chin with his hook. I tilted my head to the side and grabbed his hook.
"I'm still tough enough to kick your sorry ass. Though that really doesn't count for much, now does it?" I cocked my head to the side.
"Is that a threat?" He asked with a smirk, ignoring my jab at him.
"It's a fact," I smirked back, causing his to drop.
"Oh, really?" He retorted with a mocking laugh.
"Laugh while you can, Handless Wonder," I smirked as he clenched his jaw. Oh, how I loved getting under his skin.
"Harry," Evie said, gaining his attention again. We both snapped our heads in her direction.
"What did you do with Ben?" Jay questioned and took a threatening step forward.
"Oh, eh," He turned around and pointed somewhere behind him. "we nicked him. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And if you want to see him again, have Mal come to the Chip Shop tonight. Alone." He delivered the message Uma probably told him to send. He then turned his head to me. "Though I wouldn't mind if you came along, I could keep you occupied." He flirted, tracing my jaw with his hook.
"Oh, it seems like someone is desperate for my attention." I taunted with a flirty smile as I got close to Hook's face. His eyes flicked to my lips and I taunted him by leaning in, only to end with my mouth next to his ear. "Too bad that I'm not that desperate," I whispered and leaned back again. I looked at him and threw him a sarcastic smile and then turned around quickly, most likely hitting him in the face with my hair. I stood next to Carlos and Hook looked dazed for a moment before snapping out of it.
"Uma wants a little visit." He finished. Jay glared at him and Hook noticed. "Aww, Jay, looks like you've lost your touch." He taunted. Jay tried attacking Hook but was held back by Evie. Hook laughed his crazy laugh. He barked at Carlos and I rolled my eyes.
