The true soldier fights not because she hates what is in front of her, but because she loves what is behind her.

WHEN I GOT UP the next morning and looked in the mirror, I saw the little make-up from the day before smudged everywhere. I cringed when I saw myself in the mirror. I grabbed a cloth from the uneven, old cabinet that stood in the corner and dipped it in the bucked of rainwater that stood under the leaking roof. I rubbed the remaining make-up from my face and threw the cloth in the corner. The room was small, nothing special. The little stuff I did own were scattered around the room and various items of clothing I left behind were spread across the floor. I threw the oversized shirt that I slept in on the floor and put on my outfit from the day before. I looked at my blue diamond belly button ring and then glanced at the one Jay and I had stolen a long time ago from Madame Medusa's Majestic Merchandise shop. I always thought it was kind of a mouthful. The belly button ring also had a blue diamond but attached to it was an anchor and a ship steering wheel combined. I picked it up and glance at the belly button ring I was already wearing. The one in my hands made me think of Hook.

"Oh, what the hell," I mumbled and switched the rings. I walked back out and found Evie on the couch doing her make-up.

"Hey, E, where's Mal." Evie didn't look away from her mirror as she replied.

"Trying to get us something decent to eat." I nodded in understanding though Evie didn't see. With our standards raised in Auradon, I already knew the food would be gross no matter how good it was for Isle standards.

"E, could you do my hair and make-up?" I asked while she finished perfecting her lipstick before turning to me with a smile. She grabbed my hand and pulled me to the couch.

"Sure." She replied as she set to work. I knew both of us could use some distraction from everything that was going on so I just sat back and relax while Evie did what she loved. Mal came back not long after Evie finished and we all ate the gross meal in silence, only interrupting it to gag a few times. It was around 11 when we went on our way to meet up with Jay and Carlos who, hopefully, also brought the fake wand.

We stood together waiting until the limo finally pulled up. Jay got out from the driver's side but instead of Carlos, it was Lonnie who got out of the passenger side. Jay and Lonnie said something to each other and Lonnie approached us. We looked at her confused but before we got the chance to ask her anything, she already explained,

"I made them bring me." She hugged Mal.

"I'm so glad." She told Lonnie.

"You go, girl," I smirked as we gave each other a fist bump and a side hug.

"Welcome to the Isle. It's good to see you." Evie told her after they hugged. Jay and Carlos approached us along with Dude. Mal held her hand out for the wand.

"Ooh, let me see." She said. I knelt to the ground and petted Dude behind his ears.

"Oh, yeah. That's nice." He almost moaned. I rolled my eyes.

"You make it sound dirty," I told him in disgust. Dude shrugged. Can a dog shrug? Well, they usually can't talk either so I'm gonna go with yes.

"Wow! What a beauty," Mal said about the wand. My eyes widened and Carlos noticed.

"What is it, Dee?" Carlos asked. This turned everyone's attention on me.

"Uma will want to see it work."
