You were never supposed to mean this much to me; I was never supposed to fall so hard. But you know what? I did and that's the truth, that's what keeps me holding on because it hurts like hell to let you go.

----------

HOOK AND I WERE IN THE LIMO on our way back to the Isle. We were gripping each other's hands tightly and both of us were filled with dread. We knew goodbye was around the corner and neither of us was ready for it. That's why we had told the Royal Guard, who was also seated in the limo, that we would pick up Dizzy first and then drop off Hook, it only made a difference of a few minutes but it was something at least. The guards had been silent the whole ride and Hook and I hadn't said much either. Nothing had to be said to understand each other.

The limo stopped and I looked out the window to find that we were in front of Lady Tremaine's shop. I squeezed Hook's hand and followed after the guards to get Dizzy. Evie had made me promise to look out for her and I would. Hook knew this and, albeit reluctantly, he let go of my hand. When I entered the shop, Dizzy was already reading the letter.

"...We'd love for you to join us at Auradon Prep. Will you come? Signed King Ben." She read in disbelieve and then yelled in excitement, hugging the guard tightly.

"So, I presume that's a yes?" I chuckled. Dizzy let go of the guard and looked at me with wide eyes.

"Hadee!? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" She repeated and yelled again as she went to hug me. We heard bonking from above and someone bellowed 'Sip it up!', though we ignored it.

"Great, 'cause Evie's been missing you like crazy and I might kind of miss your crazy make-overs." I grinned. "Grab whatever you need. I don't think you'll need that much clothes because I'm pretty sure Evie's designing you a whole line of them for you but still."

"Really?" She asked with excitement. I hummed and nodded in response. Dizzy turned around and grabbed her clue gun, the big pair of scissors and a few other things and dumped them in a bag that she swung over her shoulder. I grabbed the bag from her and handed it to one of the guards with a smile. He took it with a nod and I turned back to Dizzy.

"We do have to make a stop before we return to Auradon, though," I told her.

"Sure. Where?" Dizzy nodded. She didn't mind, she was going to Auradon and that was all she'd ever dreamt of. She couldn't have been happier at the moment.

"We'll have to drop Hook off at the docks," I told her, trying my best not to sound upset but I guess I failed.

"What's wrong?" Dizzy asked, immediately dropping the smile.

"Hook and I just... got close to each other and we'll have to say goodbye," I told her as we walked towards the limo.

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I sighed. The doors of the limo were opened by guards and Dizzy squealed before getting in. I chuckled and followed after her along with the guard, the other two guards taking their seats in the front. My hand had quickly found Hook's again and the five-minute drive to the docks seemed to last five seconds. Hook sighed and both of us got out of the car. The salty air hit my nose and I smiled a little. Hook shut the car door behind me and we both kept quiet for a moment.

"At least, Ben's agreed to let us visit each other." I tried to cheer but it didn't sound all that cheerful. Our eyes finally met and we turned our bodies to face each other.

"Yeah, it's something at least." He attempted a smile. His hand and hook found my waist and he pulled me closer. "I love you, you know that, right?" He asked. I smiled, a genuine one this time, and nodded.

"I know. I love you too." I told him. We just looked at each other at that moment. "Hook, I'm not good at goodbyes. I suck at them." I told him quietly.

"What? You didn't think this was the end of the story, did you?" He smirked. His question brought a smile to my face. I shook my head.

"'Course not. It's just the beginning." I smiled.

"Then let's say 'see you soon' instead of goodbye, okay?" Hook asked as he cupped my cheek. I gave him a nod to which he smiled and pulled me in for a kiss. The kiss was needy since we both knew it'd be a while before the next one. The kiss lasted long and it made my chest flutter and my stomach twist. It made me extremely happy and I couldn't help but smile into it. But alas, all good things must come to an end and both of us pulled away at the same time.

"Is that our new way of saying 'see you soon'?" I chuckled. Hook smiled down at me.

"I guess it is."

"I like it," I smirked, he did as well. Hook then let go of my waist and slowly took a step back. We both knew I had to go.

"I'll miss you, Hadee."

"And I'll miss you, Harry. I... I love you." I told him quietly. I mentally scolded myself when my voice broke a little.

"I love you too." I walked backwards, towards the car door, and it pained me to do so. I opened the car and gave Hook one last wave. He returned it with his hook and it made me smile before I entered the limo and shut the door. I looked back at Hook until I couldn't see him anymore as we drove away. We rounded a corner and a single tear escaped my eyes and rolled down my cheek.

"I'm sorry, Hadee. But at least you two can visit right?" Dizzy tried to cheer but I just frowned at how she knew that. Dizzy caught my look. "The guard told me." She jabbed her finger at the guard and when I looked at him, he was looking anywhere but at me. I rolled my eyes and wiped the tear off my cheek.

"Yes, we can," I confirmed. "Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt, though," I told her sadly. Dizzy nodded in understanding.

"I know. But you're strong. If anyone can make this work, it's you." Dizzy smiled. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"And why is that?" I asked her. And her answer earned a chuckle and a smile from me as she told it matter-of-factly,

"Because not everybody is the Lady of the Underworld."
