IN LOVE
•Third Person POV•
Kaden had multiple emotions bursting inside him and itching to show on the outside but he had to tame them. He was frustrated, angry, annoyed, sad and worried all at the same time.
The woman as the office continued typing as Kaden stood there unsure of whether or not she would help him.
Maybe she was deaf? He thought before mentally slapping himself at his stupidity, thinking that a deaf woman would be running a university front office. Yeah right.
He let out a frustrated sigh and soft growl, clenching and unclenching his fists, trying to control his temper. He began to turn on his heel and walk out angrily when the old woman spoke.
"Look, boy," she began. "I'm not actually allowed to be giving out private information such as this because of safety and confidentiality reasons but I know you would never hurt this girl. I'm only allowing this because of the love and worry in your eyes an-" she said before Kaden cut her off.
"L-love? Hold on n-no I think you g-" he said before she decide to cut him off.
"First of all, don't interrupt me," she snapped, "and second of all, yes love, L-O-V-E," she spelt out slowly. "I can tell you love her and care for her so grow a pair and tell her. It was basically shining in your eyes when you spoke about her. So here, now go on and find her," the woman finished, handed him the paper with Aurora's address before waving him off, implying for him to leave.
Kaden remained where he was, mouth agape and looking dumbstruck. She thought he loved her.
Did he indeed love her or was this office lady on crack?
He shook his head violently before forcing his legs to carry him out the door and to his car.
The address stated that Aurora lived in an apartment home on 45 Park Street, Apt. 116, New York, NY 10016. Kaden wasted no time at all in rushing to the closest airport and booking the next flight to New York which was scheduled to leave in six hours.
The six hours Kaden had to wait for his flight were the longest, most stressful and painful hours of his life. He was growing more and more worried after every second, minute and hour he didn't see or hear from Aurora.
He had tried multiple times to call her again but all calls, as they were earlier, were directed to her voicemail while his texts went unanswered.
"Flight number 496 to New York now boarding," was announced over the loud speaker, his cue to board the plane.
At the time Kaden had finally boarded his flight, Aurora was just arriving at her stop, New York city. She exited the bus and retrieved her belongings before calling a cab to take her to her old apartment home.
Upon her arrival to her home, she took the lift up to her suite where she left her bags at the front door before looking around. She let out a sigh, "home sweet home?" She laughed bitterly.
"This isn't home without family," she said to herself. "At least not without mum or dad."
Aurora had turned on every light in the apartment and turned on the TV for background noise to help her feel less alone. The apartment felt cold and empty just as it did every time she came back but she didn't have the heart to sell it. She had had too many memories under its roof to even consider getting rid of it.
The apartment was a beautiful and modern design which was gorgeously decorated by her father who was an architect, one of the best in the city.
All the bedrooms as well as the kitchen and living rooms were a combination of whites, blacks and greys as well as a dark navy blue, except for her bedroom.
