Chapter 13

Reece's POV

I left Andreah's house shortly after I spoke to Gloria. I needed to break it off, this isn't the type of relationship I want. I'm ready for something deeper.

As I turned onto her street I grew more and more nervous, I didn't want to hurt her feelings, how do you break up with someone without hurting them?

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in as I parked outside her house then made my way to her front door.

I rang the door-bell waiting for her to open.

"Hey" she greeted cheerfully. Oh no, this isn't going to be easy.

"Hey" I tried to remain calm.

"I'm so glad you called my pa-"

"Gloria we need to break up" the words just rolled out of my tongue. I said them with no emotion making her tilt her head in confusion.

"I'm sorry what?"

"I said we nee-"

"I know what you said what I mean is why?!" She looked sad and I couldn't help but feel bad for her.

I mean we haven't been going out for that long, I mean she wasn't expecting a long term relationship anyway. We were just dicking around.

"Because I don't want to do this anymore, I want to be in a relationship with someone I love and care about, I'm sick of just wasting my time on little things, I want a real relationship, with love and passion and you're just not the right girl for me Gloria"

"You love Andreah don't you?" She said after a couple of minutes of silence.

"What? How can you say that I don't even know her enough to love her"

"Well you like her then, when you said that little speech I bet you were thinking about her weren't you?" She folded her arms waiting for my response.

"Look I don't want to talk about this with you, I just came here to end things and hopefully we can still be friends" I offer hoping she won't be mad.

She stayed silent for a little while longer before nodding. "Ok fine, you can leave now".

"Gloria I really am sorry"

"Just leave I said" she raised her voice pointing to the door behind me.

I turned and walked out the door back to my car. I felt so bad but also felt good knowing a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I'm free, I'm a single man.

I realised I wanted to talk to Andreah but I didn't have her number and I couldn't just go back it's getting late. I headed to Craig's place hoping he would've been done with Roxy. I really just needed some bro time.

"Whoa dude are you alright?" Craig asked as soon as he opened his house door.

"Yeah why?"

"You look upset bro what happened?" He queried stepping aside allowing me to come in.

I told him how I broke it off with Gloria and how she didn't take it as well as I'd hoped.

"Why did you break it off? Feelings for Andreah aren't going away eh?" He smirks shoving me.

"I don't have feelings for Andreah" I lied because I do feel something for her I just don't know what it is. It's the first time it's happened.

"Whatever you say man"

"Where's Roxy?" I asked hoping she's not around to hear what I just said.

"She left just before you came"

"So what do you want to do?" I asked in a bored tone.

"I'm gonna crash it man, I'm tired" as If on queue he yawns covering his mouth.

"Alright I'll see you at school" I turned to walk out the door.

"Ok nite" he waved shutting the door behind me.

I drove home feeling confused. Why does Craig keep saying I like Andreah I mean I feel something for her but I don't know what. I guess time will tell.

As soon as I got home I ran straight to my room avoiding my parents asking where I was all day and just crashed.

Beeep!

What the hell? Who the hecks beeping at... I glanced at the alarm clock and saw that it was 7:30am! Crap! I overslept.

Just then my phone began to ring. "Hello"

"Bro why the fuck are you taking so long I've been beeping for over half an hour I'm sure I woke up your entire neighbourhood" Craig's annoying voice shrieked through my phone.

"I slept in" I mumbled rubbing my eyes to adjust to the daylight.

"Well get your sleeping butt outta bed now were gonna be late!"

"Wait why are you here? I have a car" I asked feeling confused.

"You said last week that your parents needed it for the business trip today so I'm giving you a ride"

"Oh yeah gosh I forgot about that" I sigh realising I didn't get a chance to say bye to them.

"Hey Reece"

"Yeah?"

"GET YOUR FUCKING ASS DOWN HERE NOW!" He shouted before hanging up. I tossed my phone on my bed and quickly walked to my bathroom to take a shower. I got dressed quickly and walked downstairs and out the door.

"Finally" I heard him mutter as I came around to the passenger side. As soon as half my body was in, Craig reversed out, speeding to school.

"Why did you sleep in? Too much phone sex with your new girl?" Craig wiggled his brows playfully making me sigh aloud.

"No! I wasn't doing that"

As we arrived at school I saw something that made my chest tighten.

Evan was standing near Andreah nibbling on her face making her laugh. I know there friends and all but what kind of fucking friends nibble on each other's faces?

I got out of the car and not realising but my legs were walking me in her direction. She kept laughing then she pulled him closer to rough up his hair.

"Now your dead" I heard him growl as I got closer to them. He looked like he was going to hold her when I interrupted.

"Hey" I say to her.

"Hey Reece" she gave smile brightening my day already.

"Sup" Evan cleared his throat to get my attention.

I eyed him up and down then said "Hey"

He returned the stare eyeing me up and down with a weird expression.

I sensed Andreah could feel the tension so she held both our hands walking us inside school. From peoples view this looks weird, a girl holding two boys hands walking down the hallway casually.

She stopped at her locker to get her books out. When she took them out I offered to carry them for her.

"Aw thanks Reece, isn't he sweet Evan?" Take that loser! I said in my head.

"Yeah he's sweet alright" Evan just shot me glares. I wonder does this kid have the hots for his best friend?

"I gotta get going or I'll be late for college, but before I go I want a kiss right here" he pointed to his cheek while staring at me. It's like he knows how to push my buttons.

"Of course" she obediently got on her toes to reach him because he's a bit taller than her. When her soft lips came in contact with his cheek it felt like I got stabbed. Whoa? Do I seriously like Andreah? A girl I've only known for like 2 weeks.

"I'll see you after school Ev, love you" she waved as he walked away from us. I felt jealous she couldn't kiss me like that.

"Ready for class?" She turned her attention to me after Evan left.

"Yeah" I say and we began walking to class.
