Suffocating

Natalie's POV

" What's wrong with the face?" Christian asked me.

" Nothing." I said.

" You need to rest. Why are you still in office? You should go home now." He told me.

" I need to finish my works." I said and buried myself in works again.

" Enough. Go home have a break. You are not a machine." He snatched my file. I tried to take my file back. But he didn't let me. I took another one.

" You are finishing that file you are holding. Otherwise you are gone." I said.

" Ok, I will do all of them. You go home." He said.

" Nate send you here, right?" I asked.

" It doesn't matter, Natalie. You can't stay like this." He said.

" Why? What happened to me?" I asked.

" Nothing happened to you. But you are not acting normal lately. You are not explaining as well." He said and I sighed.

" Stop eating my brain." I told him and he sighed.

" Go home. I will take care of this files." He said.

" I hate you." I said to him and he laughed.

" You don't. Go home or will I drive you home?" He asked.

" Are you kidding me!!!" I asked taking my jacket and phone. I took my car's keys. I walked out of my cabin. I sighed. I don't know what is her to me.

Leo was damn serious when he was talking about disappearing from my eyes. I haven't seen him after that day again. It's been 15 days and I haven't seen him. He really disappeared. I got myself thinking about him. I will be a stupid if I say that I am missing his stupid attitude. But I really do. It's killing me. I miss his sudden appearance around me. I am going crazy waiting for his appearance. I don't know what is happening to me. I sighed. I will be a mad soon I guess. I didn't tried to call or message him. He didn't do it as well. I think if he doesn't appear in 2 more days I will hunt him down.

I reached the parking lot and found my car. I entered into it. I started but suddenly I heard some footsteps. I stopped right away but found none. I shrugged and drove out of the parking lot. I need to reached home and I entered after parking the car into the parking lot. I walked  and found all dark. I sighed and walked to the kitchen and grab a water bottle from the freezer.

" Tired?" I heard my twin saying.

" Hey, you haven't slept yet?" I asked her.

" No, Natty." She said. " Have you had dinner already?" She asked me.

" No." I said.

" Ok, go get freshen up. Let's have dinner together." She said and I nodded. I took a quick shower and changed into something comfortable. I saw Nate already waiting for me there.

" How was your day?" She asked as I sat beside her.

" Tiring as always." I said as I started eating. " How was yours?" I asked her.

" Was good. Did you see Chris in the office today?" She asked and I smiled.

" You send him, right?" I asked my twin. She smiled and nodded weakly.

" I am alright, Nate. Nothing to worry, Princess. I am fine." I said.

" I don't think so. Ask me why?" She asked me.

" Why?" I asked smilingly.

" There are too many reasons." She said.

" Let's hear all of them. I am not going anywhere." I said ad and continued eating.

" 1. You have become so forgetful lately.
2. You have been talking in your sleep.
3. You are not yourself these days.
4. You fired 8 people in 3 days for some mere reasons.
5. Yesterday you called me that you will pick me up but you didn't come to pick me up later.
6. You are not attending your clsses lately.
7. It was your presentation yesterday you forgot it completely.
8. You are always pissed off these days. 
6. And lastly you're currently eating mushrooms while you always hate it. I wonder why your taste buds are not refusing it. Or you changed your habit without yourself knowing or you didn't inform me?" She enquired. I looked at her and put the fork. I really don't know what happened to me. What am I going to explain her then!??

" What happened, Natty?" She asked.

" You worry too much without any reason, Nate. I am just tired I think." I said.

" Tired of what?" She asked.

"Tired of works obviously. I need to take rest and break as well." I said.

" I can accompany you if you want." She said and I nodded.

" Let's travel around. Let's go Milan." She said.

" Ok, let's go." I said.

" When are you free?" She asked me.

" I am free by next week." I said.

" Ok, I will be out of my schedule for a week too." She said.

" Great then." I said and we were finished having dinner. I helped her washing the dishes.

" Coffee?" She asked and I nodded.

" I am in the balcony." I said and she nodded. I walked towards the balcony and sat there. I had a feeling that someone was there on the opposite side of the road but as I looked I found no one. I ignored it. Cold breeze touched my skin and I shivered at once. I hugged myself it may rain tonight.

" Here." Nate handed me a coffee.

" Thank you." I said.

" You're welcome." She said and sat beside me.

" It may rain today." I told her and she nodded.

" I like the weather." She said.

" Me too." I said. " Let's get wet in the rain." I said out of nowhere.

" As a doctor I should tell you not to get wet in the rain in this weather but as your twin I always support whatever you say." She said and I smiled. We finished the coffee.

" Aren't you sleepy?" I asked her and she fixed her glasses.

" I slept the whole day today but I am still sleepy. I can handle though." She said and I chuckled.

" Let's go and have sleep. We can get wet another time." I said.

" But -" she was saying but I cut her.

" Let's go." I said. She nodded and followed me.

" Good night, Natty." She told me as she stopped in front of her room.

" Good night, princess." I said and kissed on her forehead. She smiled widely.

I walked towards my room. I dragged myself to the bed and fall flat on my back. I sighed deeply. Something is not right and it's suffocating me.
