Leonardo's POV

" Done Mr. Franquez. Thanks for the help and we will take care of him and we will try to find out Elliott Pallette soon. You no need to be worried." The cop said.

" Thanks, officer. Just make sure he can't come out of jail and make people's life hell." I said to the officer as they were pulling Sam out of the apartment. The poor girl!! Couldn't save her. He killed her for saving himself but caught up eventually.

" What about the girl?" I asked the cops.

" We will handover the dead body to her family after postmortem if she has any family." He said. I sighed. Generally you can't find a family for a girl like her.

" If you can't find out her family inform me I will take the responsibility of her funeral. Even if you find them I want to meet them. Just call me." I said.

" Sure. I will call you then." He said and I came out of the apartment and saw Sam sitting in the car of the cops. His hands were cuffed.

" Nice to meet you, Franquez." He smirked at me.

" I don't think it's nice for you. Definitely nice for me." I said.

" At least, we both are in the same place at one point of view. If I can't have her you can't as well." He said.

" There where you are wrong, Pallette." I smirkingly told him. He looked at me confusedly.

" You think we are that weak to break up with each other because of your bloody stupid threatening!! Not that easily. Really really not." I said. " No one can make us break up. So, made that thing clear in your stupid brain that you can't get to do anything with us. It's better that you are caged right now. You can't be trusted. I think you are going to be suffer hell for killing the girl. Taking a life without any reason is not forgiveable. I think you are going to enjoy the hell you are going to get. " I said smirking at him. " Don't worry. I will visit you in jail. After all you made things complicated between all of us but it only made our bonds strong. I needed to thank you for that." I said. He laughed.

" Don't be so happy, Leo. Just don't. You don't have any idea when your happiness is going to be snatched. You never know." He said and I stopped myself from punching him hard in front of the people around. I don't want to make a scene.

" We will see, Pallette." I said as I walked back from him. I started my car and reached home driving fast. I parked the car and wanted to have some rest. I came inside and suddenly my phone started to ring. I found it's her. I picked up the call.

" Saw the news, Babe?" I asked her.

" How was that happen?" She asked me.

" A long story." I said.

" I am all ears." She said.

" Well, after you left the police tried to reach Sam but the thing is he was holding her as a hostage." I said.

" Then?" She asked.

" There was no other way left but to attack him directly. They tried a lot to save the girl but he shot her at the first sight he got of them." I said and she sighed.

" I felt sorry for the girl. She wasn't even part of plan." She said.

" Some time you have to go through something unplanned. It was her fate. We can't help it." I said to her.

" Still. I don't know how to react. Her family? Did they find them?" She asked.

" Till haven't found them out. If they can find them out then they will tell me. If they can't I will make the arrangements of her funeral." I said to him. She sighed again.

" Yes, we need to do it." She said. "Feeling very guilty about it now." She said.

" Don't feel guilty it was meant to be happened and you can call me with your own number now. Sam is out of the plot now." I told her.

" Yeah, will do that." She said."So, can we stop acting now?" She asked me.

" We will tell them after Natasha and Christian's wedding ceremony. I want to enjoy the ceremony without any bruises. You know Christian is not going to leave me." I said and sighed. She laughed.

" It's true." She said. " You're truly in a trouble." She said and I sighed again.

" I should have told him before. He asked me thousands of time that if I am hiding something from him. Every time I just laughed at his valid doubt on my behavior. Now he is going to punch me for every single time I did so." I said. She laughed again.

" Go sleep. You need sleep now." She said.

" Talk to you tomorrow then, Babe. I love you." I said.

" Love you too. Bye." She said and hung up. I smiled.

I was going to my room but I heard my grandma calling my name. I went to her and sat beside her.

" Why are you up late night, Babe?" I asked her kissing on her forehead.

" I couldn't sleep, Sweetheart." She said caressing my head.

" Do you want to have some ice cream?" I asked her and she chuckled.

" No, thanks. You can have some if you want." She said.

" Without you!!?? Not a chance." I said. She laughed.

" I want to give you something." She said.

" What? A kiss?" I asked and bend near her so that she can kiss on my forehead. She chuckled and kissed on my forehead.

" I wanted to give you this." She opened her fist and I found her wedding ring on her palm.

" Why are you giving this to me?" I asked her.

" This is for Natalie." She smiled.

" But she already has her ring. You no need to give yours to her. This holds all the memories you had with Grandpa." I said.

" It's my love and wishes for you two." She said.

" But you can give it to her by yourself." I said.

" I can but these days I am quite forgetful. I might lose it. Keep it to yourself and give me later." She said.

" Ok, Babe. Let's go. You need to sleep, you shouldn't be up at late night." I said and she nodded with a smile. I left her to her room and came back to my room. Everything is falling into place right now. Just like I wanted it to be.
