The 80th Hunger Games: A Time for Revenge

The Train Ride

A/N: Hello readers I'm not quite sure exist! Please review if you are reading this, it really means a lot! I've gotten 100 reviews on the version on fanfiction.net, so why not any here? Anyway, here's chapter two:

Chapter Two:

        Now it is time to get on the train. When I get on, I'm in my own little compartment. The only way I can describe it is beautiful. Even though I lived in one of the wealthiest Districts, it is nothing compared to what the Capitol had to offer. Everything is jewel-incrusted and made from the finest stones and wood. On the right side of the room is a door. When I open it, I see the dining area where I will meet my mentor. Emberlynn is already there. I sit down at the middle table, which is set for four people. Parker comes in too, after a few minutes, looking amazed. He sits down next to me.

        Emberlynn is the first to talk, "The Reapings will be on in a few seconds, so take mental notes on each and every one of the tributes."

        She puta on the television. President Snow is announcing the Reapings. After a second had passed, it cut to a tape of District One's Reaping. Both Stingra and Hunter had made it to the stage before everyone else. They looked a lot different than the normal District One tribute, less glamorous and more vicious. Just like how they were trained. Next was my Reaping. Parker looked just as fearless on the clip as he was in real life. But when it gets to me, I am stunned. I bowled Chelsea over in such a way that I looked like more than a tribute. I looked like a victor. When District Three came on I saw first a fifteen year old girl named Tonya, and a fourteen year old boy named Edison being Reaped. These tributes also look abnormal, they looked ready to fight instead of scared out of their minds. After that I see my friends Rosie and Jack volunteering. So that means my alliance is all here. When District Five comes on, I see a skinny girl and boy pair whose names are Victoria and Rayn. The girl is fifteen and the boy twelve. They would be easy targets. Next are a girl named Maya and a boy named Blaze, sixteen and fourteen. Maya looks a little tough, and a bit mentally unstable, but Blaze looks like a Bloodbath death. District Seven gives the Games Karlie and Chuck. Karlie isn't anything to worry about, but Chuck had volunteered for someone and looks ready to kill. They are both sixteen, but Chuck looks big enough to be at least twenty. Maybe he would consider joining my alliance. District Eight has Samantha and Edward, thirteen and fourteen. Edward looks weak, but Samantha looked like she could run. The weakest pair of tributes yet are from Nine, Rayvenn and Bob, thirteen and twelve. Constance and Asher are from Ten. Constance is eighteen and was a bit threatening, but Asher is thirteen and not at all threatening. Eleven had Sophia, twelve, and Alex, fifteen, both easy kills. But my heart stopped when it went to Twelve. It is some guy named Cyrus, and Primrose Everdeen. I have to kill her.  It is my destiny.

        After the Reapings end, our mentor, Enobaria comes in. She sits across from Parker and next to Emberlynn.

        "So I heard you already know the other Careers," she states, "That's good. Just make sure you're in an alliance with them. I think that Aqua already has some sponsors after she pummeled that girl trying to volunteer, but don't think that's enough. Get as many sponsors as you can. So what do you think of the tributes this year?"

        "Well I already know that I'm going to kill Primrose Everdeen," I state.

        "I saw that one coming. What about you Parker?"

        "I think we should try to get Chuck into our alliance, and I also think he's the only one that could win other than the rest of the Careers. The rest are just pitiful," he explains.

        "I agree, but I also think that Constance could be a threat. Maybe Maya too," I say, "and I think I want Tonya and Edison on our team."

        As odd as my request sounded, the others seem to agree, "It can't be the first time District three joined the Careers," says Enobaria, "I just wouldn't rely on them to kill anyone for you."

        Before anyone could say anything more, we hear sounds coming from outside of the train. Parker and I go to the window, where we see thousands of people from the Capitol cheering for us. They were the oddest people we had ever seen. They have weirdly dyed hair, over-the-top outfits, and just plain disgusting make-up. All we can do was try to smile at them as we pass by. Then we see the Capitol. There were huge, marble buildings, and grassy courtyards with rectangular reflecting pools. Then the train stops.
