MCKENNA

☆♒︎☆♒︎☆♒︎

MCKENNA STEIN NEVER DID LOVE getting up early. Early mornings were her weakness, of course she didn't mind when it was just for her to get to lessons, however she was still somewhat grumpy when it came to it. So when she was informed the night before by James Potter that himself and Sirius would meet her in the common room at five, she couldn't help but feel like it was all a mistake.

She signed up for riding a broomstick, for throwing balls into hoops, for letting out anger and stress through sports, for people shouting her name when she scored. But she didn't sign up for the overly early mornings or the new coexistence that'd be formed between herself, James Potter and Sirius Black.

McKenna never really had a problem with James, despite the fact she acted like she did. It was more of an obligation to Lily if she was being honest. Lily Evans loathed James Potter, so that meant for McKenna, as Lily's best friend, that she'd have to at least throw some insults every now and then. Sirius Black was her real problem, no matter how much she denied how he somehow found a new way to get under her skin.

She took her time getting ready that morning, she wanted to procrastinate as long as possible, however when she reapplied that she'd get an earful from James and Sirius, she threw her hair into a messy ponytail and headed out of the dormitory, pulling her kit over her head as she descended down the stairs.

"Well that's a sight I didn't expect to see." Sirius said with a mock whistle, McKenna rolled her eyes as she tightened her hair. "That's only because it's the first and last time you'll ever see a girl in a bra, Black."

She noticed how James tried to bite back a laugh at the insult, she didn't comment on it. Instead, she took notice on the look of shock of Sirius' face. "I don't like you on a morning, you're mean."

McKenna clicked her tongue as the trio made their way into the Great Hall, all yawning and half asleep. "Shut it, Black. You don't like me anyway but if you're going to insist on mentioning it, do it quietly."

"But–"

"Shush!"

Sirius turned to James with a bewildered look as the trio took a sea on the Gryffindor table, James in between the bickering fourth years. "She just shushed me!" He exclaimed loudly, he pulled the attention of the Gryffindor captain, Carter Brooks, who was sitting a few benches down, and one of the Beaters, Archer Johnson .

The two other players shook their heads before going back to what they were talking about, completely oblivious to McKenna trying to bite back an insult that'd result in James having to hold him back. Instead, she just picked up a piece of bread and began to chew on it, her eyes casted down to her lap.
