LILY, MCKENNA AND THE FOUR boys, who still tried to be known as the Marauders, sat by the Black Lake, all six minds working at once. They were all trying to think of how McKenna was going to try and make Hunter McLaggen fancy her without a love potion or the help of magic, despite her objections. 

There was one thing they were certain of though, it was that if McKenna didn't succeed then Marlene would never be able to get with Vanity Loomis. The group of six had noticed that the McKinnon girl had been hanging around more with Vanity as Hunter hadn't been around since he had been following McKenna around every chance he got. If McKenna was being honest, she just wanted him and Vanity to get together so he'd leave her alone, but she knew Marlene would do the same for her.

"I was thinking we do it at The Three Broomsticks." Remus said as he ran a scarred hand through his messy mousy hair. The five turned to face him, four looking intently and one looking puzzled with half of a chocolate bar hanging from his mouth. "That way, we can all be there to witness it. It'll look normal, our alibi is that we just wanted a drink." 

"What about me? I won't look natural with you lot." Lily said as she refused to meet James' lovestruck gaze. "I have a plan for that too." Remus said as he gave her a smile, his fingers playing with McKenna's hair once again as her head rested in his lap.

"We're seen together sometimes, Lily, we can say we're studying if we're asked. It's nothing out of the usual as we do it all the time." Lily nodded as she agreed with the plan. "So, what about my part of the plan?" McKenna asked as she met Remus' eyes, he turned to face James.

"Stein, you are going to seduce him until he cracks and began for your hand in marriage, that's when we know for sure he's over Loomis." James said, McKenna almost chocked on the air. 

"You're not serious?!"

She watched as Sirius bit back the urge to comment, 'No, I am.' But instead he bit his lip and put his eyes onto the floor.

"Of course not! Merlin, you're gullible." He laughed as himself and Sirius slapped hands. "In all seriousness, you're going to do what you did when he asked you out but more, bigger hair, better make up and better looking. Whatever you do, you need to convince him that a third year won't give him what you can." 

McKenna sighed as she sat up, her eyes darting over to Peter who was obliviously munching on his sweets, she then flickered over to James who held a smug look, then Lily who kept her gaze onto the ground, Remus had shrugged when she looked at him but when she turned to Sirius he held a straight face – void of all emotion. She almost felt like she had to ask him if it was okay, he certainly didn't look okay with the plan.
