REMUS JOHN LUPIN HAD DEDICATED his time to researching McKenna Stein when she was in hospital. The fact that her head had turned into a burning scarlet had made him extremely curious, he had never once seen a wizard or witch be able to change the colour of their hair. 

McKenna Stein was a project he had been excited to research.

Whilst she was comatose in the uncomfortable hospital beds that he knew all too well, he had spent his time in the library looking for something – anything to do with how her hair could change her colour, if there was anybody else that had the same ability. He even took it to the extent to writing to her parents:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Stein, 

My name is Remus Lupin, I am a friend of McKenna. I was wondering if you could help me out with some research I am doing for your daughter, it would be greatly appreciated. The other day before the dreaded quidditch match – I am terribly sorry for what happened to her – her hair had changed from it's usual colour into a burning red, a very angry red. 

It would be wonderful if you would be able to help me out with this research as my curiosity just grows and grows. McKenna is a wonderful person and I'm sure whatever ability she may possess will just add to her already amazing personality.

Remus had waited around a week before he had gotten a reply, it was far earlier than he had expected, he wasn't even one hundred percent sure they'd write him back. 

Dear Remus,

Don't call us 'Mr. and Mrs. Stein', it's just Olive and Kai. Wow, you are polite, please lend McKenna some of your attitude, that would be great. She has been a bit cheeky with us in her letters, of course her mother thinks it's hilarious. I have no idea what it is she has, I'm not a wizard. Is the term something like Muglie? Anyway, I'll just hand this over to Olive, she should know something about this.

Hi, I'm Olive. Lovely to receive a letter from one of her friends, we don't get those from other people. I'd love to help except I don't know much about it, I don't have this ability. I remember Kai mentioning it when she was a baby, her hair had turned into a golden blonde once. I have never witnessed this so I have no knowledge. I know one thing though, if it's what I think it is, I believe it's called Metamorphagus? I'm not entirely sure. 

Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Please make sure McKenna doesn't get herself into anymore situations, it took me ages to calm Kai down after we received the news from the school.
