Chapter 1: Arriving At College

~Briana's POV~

BEEP...

What? What the fudge is that?

BEEP...

Again? What is it?

BEEP...

Ugh. I open my eyes and realize it's my alarm. I slam my hand down onto the clock, stopping it.

I sit up and stretch and yawn. I rub my eyes and it takes me a while to realize that I leave for college today.

How did that summer go by so fast? I really have no idea. All summer I was just sitting around watching youtube with Lauren, my best friend.

I get out of my bed and decide on an outfit. I grab a light blue crop top, a white sweater to put over it, and jean shorts. I hop into the shower, and within minutes I feel refreshed.

I hop out of the shower, put my clothes on, and dry my strawberry-blonde hair. I then put my hair into a ponytail and slip on white sandals.

Everything else is already packed. This is it. I'm leaving.

"Briana, are you ready to go?" My mom asks me opening my door. I sigh and nod my head. "Don't forget to pick up Lauren on your way to the college. Your father and Lauren's father will be driving up later today to bring anything that didn't fit in your car." Mom says as I head out if the door. I hug her and say goodbye. I also say goodbye to my dad and tell him that I'll see him soon.

I hop in my car and drove the roads that I know so well to Lauren's house.

I park my car in front of Lauren's house and see her saying goodbye. I wait for her to finish, and help her load her things into my car. we say a final goodbye, and we are on our way.

"So, do you think we'll be on a co-ed floor?" She turns and asks me suddenly. "I'm sure we will be, considering 90% of the floors are co-ed.... Who do you think we'll be next to?" We talked like this the whole two hour ride to college.

We park my car in a spot that is surprisingly close to the door. We walk into the dorm's main floor and up to the desk. "Hello, ladies. How may I help you?" A middle aged woman asks us. We tell her that we need our dorm room number and keys. "Okay, what are your names?"

"I'm Briana Delegard." (A/N Not actually my last name. I was driving by a store that said Delegard so I used it.) "And this is Lauren. We already know that we are in the same room." She tells us that we are in room 218 and hands us our keys.

We head upstairs to the second floor and as I turn a corner, not looking where I was going, I run into someone. Oops. "I am so sorry!" I tell them as I lean down to help them pick up their books. I look up to see that the person who I was looking at was Tyler. Tyler Christie. TYLER MUNCHINGBROTATO.

"No, it's fine. I'm Tyler, and you are...?" He asks me. "Briana!" I say as I shake his outstretched hand. "Nice to meet you, Briana." He says still holding my hand. "I'll see you around." He says as he lets my hand go. I nod my head and catch up to Lauren.

"Lauren, do you know who that was?" She shakes her head. "THAT WAS MUNCHINGBROTATO!" I whisper yell. She stops moving and slowly turns to me, face full of shock.

"You ran into Tyler? He's going to college here? I mean, I knew he was Canadian, and I knew that he was going to college this year, but here? the same college as us?" She says as she continues walking. "Oh! Here's our room!" She says and stops at a door labeled 218.
