Chapter 4

Hanging with a Stark

Tony Stark's Point of View.
I was sitting in my family room waiting for Peter to come home from school. Friday then came on line.

"Sir.", Friday said. "Peter has arrived. And he has a girl with him."

"Thank you Jarvis.", I replied. A girl? Wonder why? Just then Peter and a girl with brown hair walked in. Her eyes lit up after she saw all the tech around. "Why hello there."

"This is so cool!", the girl squealed.

"Dad.", Peter said. "This is my friend Jessica. She's new at our school. We have a class project we need to work on."

"Hello Jessica.", I said. "I hope Peter made you feel very welcome."

"He did.", Jessica replied. Just then Bruce Banner walked in. "Oh my god! I get to meet my two favorite scientists! You guys are geniuses!"

"Always glad to meet a fan.", Bruce said.

After an awkward silence, Peter excused themselves and they ran upstairs to Peter's room.

"She's a nice girl.", I said.

"Yeah.", Bruce said. "Maybe she'll be Peter's first girlfriend?"

"No. Peter isn't the girlfriend type."

"Want to bet?"

"Your on."

Peter's Point of View.
After I escorted Jessica to my room, we sat down on the floor.

"So...", I said. "You really like my dads and uncles works?"

"Well duh.", Jessica said. "Although they aren't as smart as me."

"Well duh." We started laughing and then I sighed. "How are we supposed to pretend we are dating?"

"Easy." Jessica took my hand. "We will hold hands at times, hang out with each other a lot, and stand up for one another."

"So we pretty much would be dating already if we would just hold hands."

"Yeah." Jessica blushed at our hands and then let go of my hand. "But we aren't. Cause some couples do kiss, but we won't have to do that."

"Ok. I wouldn't want my first kiss to be fake."

"Same." After some awkward silence, Jessica stood up and helped me up. "So. What do you want to do?"

"How about we go down to my lab and just be our nerdy selves?"

"I'm good with that."

Me and Jessica spent the whole rest of the night playing games, researching in my lab, and even watched a movie.

"Time to go Peter.", Jessica said looking at her phone.

"Bye Jessica.", I said.

"Bye Peter."

After Jessica left, dad and Uncle Bruce came up to me.

"Are you guys dating?", they both asked.

I didn't know if I should say yes or no. We are fake dating, but I don't want to have to fake it at home.

"No. We are just friends.", I replied. I then walked up to my room and sat on the floor and sighed. "Just friends."
