Chapter 5

Nightmare is Born

Rosemary's Point of View.
I walked downstairs to see mom and dad making out. My brothers walked in as well and we all said ew.

"One day you will be doing the same thing.", mom said.

"Yeah right.", Zack said. "It's cool when me or Jack kiss somebody, but not when our parents kiss each other."

"Fine. Let's go to school."

We all got to school and I met up with Jessica and Peter. I thought it was hilarious that they were pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend, just to avoid my brother. Everything was normal and we were all laughing with the rest of the school when a door flew open. A girl stepped into the room as everyone quieted. She was wearing a hood. When she revealed herself, we all gasped.

"What have I missed?", Lazari said with a smirk.

Lazari's Point of View.
I was new. I wasn't Lazari anymore. I was Nightmare. I walked into the pathetic school with a smirk on my face.

"What have I missed?", I asked. Everyone just starred at me in wonder. I saw Jack and Zack whispering with some of the other girls. I saw Rosemary looking at me relieved, and Jessica and Peter... holding hands! What? I locked eyes with Jessica and she looked at me with a mixture of emotions that I couldn't figure out. I hated the intention and I put my hands on my hips. "Well?"

"Ms. Shadewood!", Principal Rogers yelled while walking into the room. "My office! Now!" I rolled my eyes as I walked into the office with Rogers. "Mind telling me where you have been?"

"I just didn't want to come to school.", I lied. "My grades suck, I lost my best friend, and I am sick and tired of this hero bull shit."

"Language Ms.Shadewood!" I rolled my eyes as Rogers sighed. "This isn't behavior we expect here. Now you are going to have detention for some time and if you keep on doing those bad things, you will be expelled." I tensed. Not the plan! "Do we have an agreement?"

"Yes."

I walked out of the office and ran into her. Jessica.

"Oh. Sorry.", Jessica said. Jessica then realized it was me. "Um, hi Lazari."

"I don't like that name anymore.", I replied. "I don't want the pathetic life I used to have." Jessica was about to speak but I cut her off. "Just call me Nightmare."

I then walked off with a smirk.
