Chapter 12

I Just Need A Date

Jack's Point of View.
I have decided to stop being a player. It has ruined a lot of things. I told Rose that yesterday and she just smiled.
I was downstairs watching tv with mom and dad, when Rosemary came down the stairs.

"I did all the chores you told me to do mom.", Rose said. "How long am I going to be grounded?"

"Don't know yet.", mom replied.

"Hey. Can Jessica come over? I know I'm grounded, but I need help with some problems and none of you guys know how to do them."

"Fine. But no phone, even while she's here."

"Thank you!"

We watched tv for about another five minutes before Jessica came.

"Hey Jess.", Rose said.

"Morning Jessica.", dad said.

"Morning.", Jessica said. "I told my security detail to stay with my dad. I hope you don't mind, but my dads nurse wanted to come meet you guys."

"Hi.", said a hot blonde girl. "I'm Ally."

"Hey.", I said standing up. "I-I'm Jack."

Did I just stutter? I never stutter when I'm talking to girls. Ally laughed and Jessica and Rose rolled their eyes. Mom then got a text and showed dad.

"We have to go.", mom said. "Jack, you are in charge since your brother is on a date."

Yeah. Rose found a date to prom for Zack but not for me. After my parents left in a rush, Rose and Jessica started setting up math stuff.

"So you are the son of Flash and Supergirl.", Ally said. "That must be cool."

"Uh- yeah. I-it is great.", I said awkwardly. Rao! What is happening to me? "Um, I'm going to get a drink."

I rushed into the kitchen, and I heard Jessica and Rose coming in.

"Do you actually have a crush on Ally?", Jessica asked surprised.

"I don't know.", I said confused. "My heart is racing and I can't think of the right thing to say."

"That's surprising. Jack actually can like a girl without hitting on them first."

"I'm no longer a player."

"Believe it when I see it."

"Ask her out!", Rose said excited. "She can be your date to prom."

"I don't know.", I said.

"I can't believe I'm saying this.", Jessica said. "Ask her out. She does like a lot of the same things as you. I guess you guys could work out. And she has powers so..."

"Ok then. But stay in the kitchen."

Rose and Jessica nodded as I saw Ally watching some football on the tv. My team made a touchdown.

"Touchdown!", both me and Ally yelled.

"That coach makes some pretty good plays.", Ally said.

"Yeah.", I said memorized by her coolness. "Um- I was wondering if you wanted to be my date to the Power High Prom."

I waited for rejection but it never came.

"Ok.", Ally said. "I think you are pretty cool, and I never went to my prom, so sure. It'll be fun."

"Great!", I said. "I mean- um- sweet."

I have a date! And I actually like this one for a change!
