Chapter 3

A Tiny Fib

Jessica's Point of View.
Me and Rosemary were hanging out after the announcement from Mr. Rogers. I wouldn't have much time to hang out after school since I am helping tutor Winter. Just then, Jack stepped up in front of everyone. Me and Rosemary rolled our eyes.

"Attention everyone.", Jack yelled. "Since Prom is around the corner, I am here to ask a special girl to be my date." Oh god. Please don't be me. "Ms. Jessica Wilson." All eyes turned to me. "Will you be my date to Prom?"

You have got to be kidding me. I told him I don't like him, but he won't listen. Maybe he'll listen if I make one tiny fib.

"I can't.", I said.

"Why not?", Jack asked.

"I have a boyfriend!"

I had just realized what I said. I don't have a boyfriend. Rosemary looked at me with a smirk.

"Oh really?", Jack asked. "Than who is it?"

My heart was pumping and I saw someone walk in. Hopefully they won't mind.

Peter's Point of View.
I was running late to school like always. Aunt Natasha told me that everyone was gathered in the gym. I walked in to see a group of people gathered around. I saw Jessica and she mouthed sorry.

"Peter Parker is my boyfriend!", Jessica yelled.

All eyes turned to me.

"Is this true?", Jack asked.

Both Rosemary and Jessica gave me pleading eyes. Jessica is one of my best friends. I'll always help her.

"Yes.", I said. "It's true."

Jack just stood there shocked just like everyone else. Rosemary noticed the tension and super speeded me and Jessica out of the gym.

"Thank you so much.", Jessica said. "Both of you."

"No problem.", Rosemary said. "I could tell it was going to get really awkward."

"Yeah.", I said. "By the way, we will have to discuss this after school."

"Ok.", Jessica said. "But could we go to your house? My dad is having some old friends from work come over, and I promised I would be out of the house all day."

"No problem." After Rosemary left, I pulled Jessica closer. "Just don't mention anything about Power High or my abilities to my dad."

"Got it."
