'No matter how long you're gone, I'm always gonna want you back.'
~

Kylo lay in a small pool of blood in the collapsing forest. Rey towered over him, the faint humming sound of her blue saber in the background. Kylo winced. There was a sharp pain in his side. He noticed the crimson stains and Rey's eyes. She had anger and confusion within them. He inhaled. It hurt. Her lip trembled. Kylo looked around for his own saber, but couldn't identify it through the snow. Rey disabled the weapon and came to Kylo's left. He scrambled to move away from the girl. Her Force presence was giving him a migraine.
Rey.
She looked up.
Rey!!!
She looked down at Kylo once again, and ran towards the noise. He followed her with his eyes, seeing FN-2187 in the distance. Footsteps were occurring behind him.
"Ren. We are here to retrieve you." General Hux snapped. He was cold and miserable. And very much pissed he had to clean up Kylo's messes. Kylo turned to the ginger-haired man. He glared at him, before allowing the Stormtroopers to carry him away.
~
Kylo lay in his chambers while a medical droid stitched up his scars and cleaned up his wounds. His mouth was fixed in a permanent scowl. Kylo knew what was coming now.
'Kylo Ren, you're to meet me.'
He groaned. He couldn't be bothered to deal with Snoke right now. Not after his embarrassing battle with Rey.
He dismissed the droid and pulled on his usual black uniform: a black tunic, boots, helmet, and cape. The heels of his boots clicked on the floor of the dark hall. Any Trooper who was walking down the hallway towards Ren would immediately run into a random room or walk the other way. It made him feel better. He turned into a room, Hux already there.
Just great.
The hologram of Snoke flickered. He sat in loathing silence. Hux looked up at Snoke, waiting for Ren to say something; but he didn't. He stared at the floor, clearly disturbed by something. Impatient, Hux kicked Kylo into focus. Kylo looked up at Snoke and felt silent shame. He fell to his knee, begging forgiveness.
"Bested by a girl who had NEVER held a lightsaber."
Kylo snarled.
"I apologize, Master." He replied through gritted teeth, his mask covering his anger.
"Hmph. General and I were discussing your terms of redemption. We're sending out a retrieval party to reclaim the desert girl. Your job is to bring her to the Dark Side." Snoke said.
Hux enjoyed seeing Ren squirm. He held in a smirk as Snoke concluded their short meeting. This would be some good entertainment, he thought.
~
Day I
Kylo and Hux led the party to the smaller bases of the Resistance, destroying those who didn't possess the girl. Many were tortured for the location of Rey, but none knew where she was.
Day II
"We'd better not come back empty handed, Ren. It's not just your neck on the line, you know." Hux remarked.
Kylo had had a blowing migraine since the meeting with Snoke. He wished it was only Hux's neck on the line. Then maybe he would be able to get rid of his headache.
Day IX
Their retrieval was starting to become less successful and disappointing.
"Are we even still sure we know where the girl is?" Hux asked, becoming more irritated after every time they failed to learn the location of Rey.
"General. You shouldn't worry." Kylo blurted out, trying desperately hard to get Hux to shut up. "We're landing on Naboo. There's rumors of a Resistance base here."
:A few minutes later:
Ren stepped out onto the urban planet, followed by at least 8,000 Stormtroopers and the ginger general.
"Find the girl."
The troopers rushed out or assembled into their TIE fighters. Kylo got into his own fighter. Parts of Naboo were destroyed, yet they hadn't found anything. Ren lay in his chambers, and he rubbed his eyes. The stupid girl had sucked away his time and resources like she was a mosquito. He roared and ignited his lightsaber. Ren destroyed almost everything he owned. He breathed heavily, and took off his helmet. He threw it into the hall, demolishing it in seconds. Ren sat on his bed, ignoring the burning of his bedsheets. That didn't matter right now. Finding Rey did. So where was she?
Day XXI
Kylo woke up early, before anyone else did. He stalked the dark hallway, to a balcony on the Finalizer. He put his arms on the balcony and leaned on them. Kylo closed his eyes and concentrated. Rey's Force presence was there, but fading, as if it were taunting him. He invaded her mind, undetected.
Rey felt conflicted. She believed of this destruction was because of her; along with many of the Resistance fighters. Leia had come to her defense, despite what she believed to be true. There was no kriffing way she'd let Rey leave just because of what some people thought. But that was a load of shit.
Eventually, the Officers began to wake up, being careful not to disturb the Dark Knight. Everyone avoided him, except for Lt. Mitaka.
"Lord Ren, we have a location on the girl."
Kylo perked up. Finally, after all of that searching. He turned to face the pale man.
"Where? This better be legitimate, Mitaka. Or you'll be knocked so far into the Galaxy, not even the Millennium Falcon could travel that far." Kylo huffed through his mask.
"W-We've.. Well, it's not HER location, more as the.. main.. Resistance base..? It's been stopped on Coruscant.." Mitaka stuttered.
Mitaka couldn't tell, since his eyes were closed and waiting to be hit, but Kylo stared at the man. Coruscant? Why was she there?
Whatever. It'd been way too long. He finally found her. An alarm disturbed his thoughts.
"Umm, Lord Ren? An unmarked X-WING has landed in our launch bay?" a manager of the tech said.
Kylo's eyebrows raised. He knew who it was. Her presence was strong. He sprinted to the bay, where there was an X-WING surrounded by hundreds of Stormtroopers and they were accompanied by Phasma and Hux. He joined the two, where Phasma filled him in.
"We believe it's a Resistance fighter, and possibly the girl, but we're not sure. Whoever's in the Wing isn't coming out."
Kylo could hear Rey's heart beating so fast he thought it'd hop out of her chest. He signaled for the Stormtroopers to stand down, but be alert.
'Surrender now.'
Rey was startled by what Kylo said. She'd been in deep thought. Rey started to realize what a bad idea this was. But she'd give anything to keep her friends safe from this monster. Anything.
~
Rey put her hands up, slowly. Kylo motioned for her to be put in restraints. She winced as the Troopers grabbed her arms. They dragged her to a prison cell. Rey huffed as they threw on the floor. Kylo stood just on the other side of the thick metal door. He flicked two of his fingers and the restraints came off. Rey rubbed her wrists and stretched her fingers. Kylo said nothing and left to report to Snoke.
Kylo knelt before the giant hologram and bowed his head.
"Master, we weren't able to capture the girl, but she came to us."
"So it seems. Bring her here to me. I want to look at the little thing that has caused so much destruction in the Force." Snoke commanded. Kylo nodded, stood up and went to retrieve her. When he got to her cell, she was meditating. Rey had controlled breathing. Her visage looked tired and worn out. Other than that, she might've been called attractive. She looked peaceful.
Peace. There is no such thing.
Kylo slammed the cell door opened, disrupting her. The girl opened her eyes to face the sound that interrupted her mediation. The masked figure stood in front of her.
"Supreme Leader Snoke is asking for your presence. Now." Kylo snapped.
"I suppose I don't have a choice?" Rey said, sarcastically. But she relaxed her expression after feeling the Dark Knight's anger. She didn't want to provoke him. It probably wouldn't end well for her, otherwise. She stood up from the cold floor and walked while Kylo's gloved hand was gripping her shoulder to make sure she didn't try anything. They turned into a room, where Rey saw Snoke. He terrified her. But she tried to convince herself and everyone else around her that she wasn't.
~
Kylo pushed her to the ground.
"So, this is the desert scum that was causing
this chaos. Child, you're scared." Snoke said, leaning closer to the pair, examining her.
"I'm not scared of a hologram." Rey said, defiantly sticking her chin up a little.
Snoke cackled.
"Yes, not scared of a hologram. You're scared... of me." Snoke snarled.
Rey grunted, and shook Kylo off her shoulder.
"Show her to the window."
Ren pulled her hair up, causing Rey to hold in a scream. She and Kylo walked over to the window, where Coruscant was. She realized what was happening.
"No! Please stop!" She screamed, pleading.
Kylo chewed the inside of his cheek. He held her shoulder and held her head in his other hand.
Rey couldn't do anything but watch. X-WINGS were being destroyed by TIE fighters left and right. All of those innocent lives lost; for her. She pounded on the glass, crying and pleading for them to stop.
After a while, all of the X-WINGS were either gone or they retreated. Kylo made her stand up and walk back to Snoke. Her eyes were red and puffy, but she was beyond the point of crying. She was furious.
"Channel that energy. Feel its power." Snoke chided.
She shook her head.
"That's wrong." She said, looking down. Her tunic was stained with her tears. Snoke crossed his arms and sat back into his throne.
"Take her back." Snoke waved the Dark Knight away. He nodded. Ren places a hand on her shoulder again, this time he squeezed it harder. Rey winced at the pain, but bit her lip and said nothing. Kylo put her back in the cold cell.
"A droid will come by to give you a meal every few hours." He said, mechanically before walking away. Rey huffed, and turned away. The Dark Knight stormed off.
A BB-9E opened a slot in the door and placed a tray with bread, a bottle of Bantha milk, and some exotic fruits. Rey was hesitant to take the tray, reaching out for it, but later pulling her hand back.

it's not poison, you know. I'd eat if I were you.

Kylo. Rey looked down at herself. She never really realized how much weight she lost. She hadn't been eating at the Resistance base. She felt responsible for so much that happened to them. Rey noticed that she was hungry. She was so concerned for her friends she forgot about herself. So, she took the tray and began to eat.
~
Rey inhaled the food like that was all she had. Rey placed the tray back, and lay on her bed. The B.B.-9E retrieved the tray, emitting small beeps and boops. That was the first meal she had in a month. Other than that, she picked at her food and sometimes skipped dinner with her friends.
She had staggered breathing. It was really cold in the cell. All she had were thin clothing items. Rey shuddered; curling up into a ball and slept for the first time in a while. Rey was awoken by beeping. She looked at the door. The droid had brought her a thick blanket. Rey got up and grabbed it. She lay back down on the bed and slept even better.

Finn paced back and forth. The X-WINGS they sent out hadn't come back yet. Poe tried his hardest to calm Finn down, but he was mad. What if they're hurting her? We're just sitting here, doing nothing! She's our only hope for freedom. We need to go and save her now!
Leia and several other officers if the Resistance tried to reason with Finn, but his judgement was clouded. Finn considered Rey one of his best friends. And the ex-trooper missed her. Those who complained that the First Order only attacked the Resistance because of Rey stopped talking about it. They had to, unless they wanted Finn to pummel them. Poe couldn't knock any sense into him. Nobody could. Finn was hellbent on bringing Rey back. No matter what.

Rey had been in her cell for 11 days. Three of which were spent visiting Snoke. Rey had been sitting on the edge of her bed. She was practicing lifting things and bringing them to her. She couldn't yet lift heavy things, mostly small to medium things. It depended on how heavy a large item was for her to carry. Rey's door buzzed. The ginger bitch walked in. She gulped. He held a blaster in his hand. Rey got up from her bed and backed away from Hux. He placed the blaster to her head.
"You will.. walk away, and never come back." Rey said, desperate to get him to walk away.
"You're such a silly little girl. You think my mind is weak enough to be probed by you?" Hux said, laughing.
Rey gulped. Hux's boot met Rey's stomach and she fell backwards, the wind was knocked out of her. Rey inhaled small breaths. She was panicking. Hux pinned her arms down, sitting on her legs, using his free hand to place the blaster to her forehead. He brought his face close to hers, Rey got a close up to his snarl. She tried to shove him off, but he was bigger, stronger than her. Her superior.
Hux laughed at her feeble attempts to remove him off of her.
"Please stop! Get off me!" She pleaded.
He laughed even more.
"The Jedi everyone was afraid of; helpless. Tah!" He taunted.
Rey cried, and gave in. There was nothing she could do. She did feel helpless.
~
Hux didn't come back after that. Rey was relieved. Kylo Ren did, though.
He came into the cell, and saw the girl crying. Her clothes were ripped. His expression hardened. He didn't know how to comfort her. Kylo sat across from Rey and they sat in silence. Rey looked up and saw the Knight.
Something came over her. She was tired of being alone. Being underestimated. Being ignored. She leapt forward and hugged the Knight. She buried her face into his chest, sobbing loudly. Kylo was taken aback, and would've almost fallen over. He was confused.
"Rey..." he tried. Ren tried to pull her off, but she had an iron grip on his neck.
"Are you okay?"
Rey sniffled, shaking her head. She looked up at him. He looked back. Her eyes were glossy and full of fear. Something had happened.
Ren furrowed his brow. He concentrated on Rey. He saw what Hux did. How scared she was. That bastard. He held her closer. He put his face into her shoulder.
Eventually, Rey fell asleep. Kylo picked her up and put her down onto the bed. He tucked her in, and left. He had to take care of something. How dare that prissy little douchebag touch what was his.
~
Hux was tending to the pilots of the Finalizer, not noticing Ren come up behind him. Kylo grabbed Hux with the Force. Hux's hands shot up to his neck. Kylo pulled Hux towards him. He was kicking and trying to pry off the invisible hand choking him.
"Listen here, you little rat. You are not to go near the girl. You are not to touch her. Ever. Keep your filthy paws off of my property." Kylo growled. He could feel Hux's life slipping away. He dropped the General, and turned around. Hux was gasping for breath. And more over, he was pissed.
