'Isn't it lovely, all alone? Heart made of glass, my mind of stone.'
~
Kylo sat alone in his quarters. He had gotten his possessions replaced, only for him to destroy them again. His lightsaber lay on the floor in front of him. He'd gotten his heart broken and crushed twice today. Kylo couldn't describe how he felt. Not angry, sad, disappointed, or anything. He'd already cried his feelings out. His heart was an empty hole of longing.
"Master, what is the girl's problem?" Kylo said, keeping himself strong.
"The girl is confused. Lead her down the right path, Ren. I can promise you with great rewards at the end." Snoke sneered.
Kylo gulped. Well, shit. That went well last time too, Snoke.
"Yes, sir." He replied mechanically.
"She's only confused since her light was destroyed. There's an empty space in her mind where the light filled it. Fill it." Snoke said.
Kylo nodded, and left the room.
He was so deep in thought he didn't notice himself walk into Hux. The ginger-haired man dropped his data pad and it shattered, small bits of glass scattered.
"Ren, excuse you. You're not the only important being on this ship." Hux said, straightening his cloak and picking up his broken device.
Kylo kept walking, not paying Hux any attention.
"Ren. Ren. Hello? You owe me a new data pad, I hope you know that, bastard." Hux said, sticking his nose into the air and strutting away.
Kylo turned into Rey's room, only to find her sleeping. Her hair went from a beautiful brown to a raven black. She went from being full of life to being depressed and angry.
Kylo sat on the side of the bed and ran his thumb against her temple, moving the strands of her hair out of the way of her petite and soft face. He wanted nothing more to kiss her, yet he didn't know how she'd react. Kylo leaned down and kissed her forehead instead, before getting up from the bed, not noticing her grin.
Ren no longer wore his mask, as he was comfortable showing his face around people. People, of course, were terrified at the thought, yet got used to seeing the Dark Knight's face regularly.

Ever since Rey's little outburst, she confined herself to her room, either sleeping or meditating. Droids would present her with food, but she'd sometimes wave it away, causing her to lose some weight. After a while, she decided to leave her room. Rey clothed herself in a similar fashion to her Jakku rags, but of course, in a black version.
Rey took a step into the hallway. The faint and familiar scent of leather and despair greeted and enveloped her. The muffled sounds of Stormtroopers walking around the hallway snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked at them, expecting them to walk away, but they walked towards her, avoiding eye contact. Rey rolled her eyes and walked past them. One of them stuck their leg out and she tripped on it.
"Oops. Pardon us, your highness." They sniggered.
Rey got up, fixed herself and walked away.
"Damn, would you tap that ass?" One of them joked. The other laughed. Rey held in a shriek while she turned around a corner, out of their sight. Her boots clicked in tune with the floor as she walked to her window. Rey gazed at the icy planet. From what she'd heard, Starkiller Base was up and functioning. Whispers and rumors floated throughout the Finalizer.
"Do you think she only got involved with Kylo so he'd teach her stuff?"
"Probably. Maybe she's still working for the Rebel scum."
"Haha, Jakku whore."
They never really bothered her, but at least that's what she told herself. Everyone definitely knew it bothered her just a bit. They liked it.
Whenever she'd walk through the halls, Stormtroopers would occasionally catcall her or Officers would cause trouble to her. Where was Kylo in all this? Nobody was too sure.
"He's staying at Starkiller."
"No, he's on Tatooine."
"Pfft, he's on Naboo, probably looking for someone to fuck."
Rey didn't even know what to believe. Did he fall out of love with her? Was he even in love with her in the first place? Where was he? Hell, for all she knew, she definitely loved him. But she was never one for saying her feelings out loud. Those rumors were as true as Hux not being a ten-cent Bantha fodder trollop. Right?
"Kylo, I'm sorry." She said through their Force connection. "I don't know what to say."
He didn't respond.
Her words were going through, until they ricocheted back into her own mind. Rey blinked. What was going on?
"Hello? Are you still there?" She tried. It came back with no hesitation.
"Well, shit." Rey said, rubbing her temple.

Kylo breathed shakily. The old Sith temple emitted strong waves of power. He walked alone, hearing the faint crunches of grass beneath his feet. Kylo's heart beat fast, unclenching his fists. For once, he relaxed. He took in a sharp breath of the foggy air.
It was so quiet and serene. Kylo's own thoughts were too loud for him. Solitude. That's what he needed. He unclasped his dark cloak and placed it on the ground next to him. Kylo walked to the destroyed entrance of the temple and sat down.
He slowed his breaths; relaxing and concentrating. Kylo closed his eyes and focused on the scattered energy surrounding him. He released his thoughts, letting them flow freely. Kylo inhaled the cold air and breathed out slowly; he felt the stress leave him. The Dark Knight relaxed for the first time in six years.
He placed his hands on the cold ground on either side of him and let his energy and the temple's surge through each other.
Kylo opened his eyes. He was alone in a meadow. Taanab. Kylo walked to a nearby tree and leaned against the tree; sliding down to a sitting position. He crossed his arms and put his head down. Finally, insomnia wouldn't bother him.
By the time he woke up, it was dark. How long had he been sleeping? Kylo got up and stretched. How long had he been at the temple? Shoots.
Kylo back down near the tree and repeated the steps he took in the temple entrance. During his fourth deep breath, he felt an energy shift. Something was gone. Something was missing. Someone was gone. His heartbeat became erratic, he was unable to calm himself down. He knew who was gone.
Kylo opened an eye, only to find himself still in Taanab. He groaned and tried again. He was still in the meadow, getting more flustered the more he failed to return. Kylo grunted, took a handful of grass and tossed it into the warm evening air. His hand went to his side where his lightsaber would normally be, but it wasn't there. He was stuck in a mental state of solitude.
"How do I get the fuck out of here, god?!" Was a daily question Kylo asked himself. From what he could count it'd been three days since he came to the meadow. Three days since he last saw Rey.
~
It'd been three days since Rey got into the X-WING and flew off. Six without Kylo, if you must. But she told herself it was for the best. Rey had no idea what the kriff she was doing. Obviously, she couldn't go back to the Order, not after those incidents. Rey was too proud and stubborn.
"I suppose I could go back to the Resistance." She suggested. Then she shook her head.
"No. I've betrayed them. They wouldn't accept me."
Rey sat on a fallen tree log in Takodana. The thick and lush forest green shielded her from most sunlight. Her X-WING was a few feet away and covered in branches.
"But I have nowhere else to go. I'm absolutely never going back to Jakku." Rey huffed.
She placed her elbows on her knees and put her fists on her cheeks. Rey scrunched her eyebrows. What was she going to do? Ever since she woke up, she felt like something was lost. She hadn't forgotten the kindness and compassion her friends(?) had shown her. Were they the key to unlocking the rest of her memories?
Rey shook her head. All of that thinking was just confusing her. She couldn't think straight. That's when she noticed. Her Force connection. It was gone. Fading, at the most. Something was wrong. Something was wrong with Kylo.
Rey exhaled. It's not like she really mattered to him, anyway. If she did matter, he wouldn't of left her. But he did.
She roared at the power Kylo had over her thoughts. She got up and fell to her knees, banging her fists against the moist grass on the forest floor. Tears streamed down her face as her lip quivered. Rey's left hand became blue and black, bruised from a flat rock she'd accidentally struck. Her anger subsided, along with her confusion. Rey knew what she was going to do.
Rey got up and uncovered the X-WING and started up the engine. She hoped they would forgive her.
// Now, as you may recall, Snoke did remove her Light. Because of that, Rey's personality has become mixed up. She's more stubborn, impulsive, etc. She is confused and believes her friends/enemies could be the answer to her clarity since she has one side of the story. Rey feels embarrassed and is too proud to admit she needs help from the Order, hence why she left. //
The hum of the X-WING's engine drowned out Rey's thoughts. Her grip tightened onto the control. Her heart beat fast. Her breathing was staggered. How was she going to do this?

Ever since the little escapade and rescue, the Profundi was silent as ever. Nobody talked about Rey or Finn. Only the daily "Yes, General" "No, Admiral" "Certainly, Admiral". People really did understand how sensitive the topic was for the ex-Stormtrooper and the Pilot. Of course, what'd you expect? Their close friend had just abandoned them for some Dark Side fling.
Leia sat alone in her chambers, the moonlight falling on her fair and aged face. She sighed, placing her cane on her nightstand and laying down slowly. The old General had had insomnia problems ever since the rescue turned into a failure. But she had faith in Rey that she wouldn't turn. Not fully, at least.
A knock came at her door. Leia looked up, startled. Poe.
"Come in."
Poe Dameron walked in, gulping.
"How may I help you, Commander?" Leia asked, yawning.
"Sorry to interrupt you, Leia... but Rey's come back." Poe said.
"What's the catch?" Leia said, jokingly.
"We don't know. But she's definitely not herself. Something about finding the other half of the truth." Poe explained.
Leia nodded, understanding.
"We can deal with her later. We are all tired and need a good night's rest. Give her a good bed and some food, if need be, and let her rest. Even the strongest need to sleep." Leia said, smiling slightly.
Poe nodded and left the room. Finn had been pissed at the arrival of Rey. He was so suspicious that she was still working for Kylo Ren, the lunatic, and her "memory loss' was just a cover. Yet, a part of him was saying it was real. He was still holding on for that possibility of bringing her back.
Rey entered her new resting chamber. There was no big window, like the one on the Finalizer, a smaller bed, and a small bathroom. The floating lamps near the bed glowed a brilliant Kamino blue. Rey's stuff demeanor softened, and she approached the bed and placed her bag on the mattress. It seemed comfortable, but as she sat on it, she realized it was no where near as soft as her beautiful maroon and black bed. Then again, any bed would be good enough for Rey.
She took out her lightsaber. She was afraid of the color she'd see. She already saw purple and blue. What now? Yellow? Orange?
Rey looked away as she ignited it. She looked. It was still amethyst, and she exhaled a breath of relief. She wasn't ready to see a red blade yet.

Kylo lay prostrate on the grass. The attempts to leave wore him out. He was going crazy. How long had he been in here? Why was his mind trapping him?
He decided to get up and take a walk around. There were two to three trees in a patch every couple meters. The bright sun beamed down on his back until the soft moonlight greeted his tired face. Kylo'd walked to a different tree. It was very large, and was most likely very old. He walked into the tree where there was a hole just large enough for him to fit through.
Kylo lay down on the grass while the wind sung him to sleep. When he awoke, he realized blueblossoms had grown around his sleeping form. He chewed the inside of his cheek, unable to provide a reaction to the gesture of entertainment his mind tried to provide him with. But why blueblossoms?
Blueblossoms had been Leia's favorite flower. Ben Solo would bring her tiny bouquets of blueblossoms and everlilies when he was a young child. Kylo shuddered. What was going on?
"Rey, are you-"
The Dark Knight remembered. He was alone. Alone in his mind. Alone with his thoughts. Alone with his fears.
Ren sat up, and ran his fingers across one of the petals of the blueblossoms. The wind blew softly against the flowers until it was silent again. The Dark Knight cracked a small smile, quickly hiding it. But no one was around to see it. So he grinned as much as he could; not expecting what was going to happen in the real world.
