Sitting in the court room gave me so much anxiety. The judge was so intimidating and scared me every time he spoke.
Scarlett was giving her side of the story, but only lies came out of her mouth.
"Miss Grey, you admitted that you had nothing to do with Miss Varela's assault. Do you know who did it?" A lawyer asks.
"Well, I mean... y-," she quickly stops herself. My eyes open so wide, I feel like they're gonna shoot out at her.
"Go ahead. Finish what you were going to say. You promised to tell the truth," he says.
"Yes," she blurts.
"Who?"
She starts to breathe heavily and hit her fingers on the table.
"I'm sorry. I'm not saying who," she says.
The people in the audience start talking with anger, and the judge hits his gavel to quiet the people.
"Order!"
I sigh and look down at my lap. Ethan nudges his elbow against my arm. "It's gonna be okay. She won't get away with this," he whispers.
I look up and nod with a weak smile. Grayson was here to testify, which scared me.
"Can you specify the gender?"
"A female," she responds.
Now I know it wasn't Grayson for sure.

It was Grayson's turn to testify. I don't understand why he had to be questioned.
"Grayson, where were you the night of Miss Varela's assault?"
"My house."
"And what were you doing?"
"I was watching a movie with my friend, Allison."
Wait, what if that's the night they had sex?
"And you did have Chloe over too?"
"I did, but she left," he says.
"Why did she leave?"
"I'm not exactly sure. I think she was uncomfortable because I had another girl over."
That's somewhat true.
"Why did you have another girl over?"
"Because I invited a few people over, not just Chloe."
"Where did Chloe go after she left?"
"I'm not sure. She can't drive, so she walked. I offered to drive her, but she refused."
"And she got attached shortly after that?"
"I wouldn't know," he shrugs.
"Do you have any idea of who the attacker was?"
"No," he shakes his head.
"No further questions."
See? That was pointless.

I stood in the lobby with Ethan. I wanted my parents to be here for this, but they couldn't. They're coming home in a few days though.
Scarlett was locked up for being the possible attacker, even though she never pleaded guilty.
She's locked up until proven innocent, but her parents will probably bail her out since they're filthy rich.
