We only have five more days until we go back to school from spring break. "What do you want to do before we go back to school?" I ask. "I don't know." Luke answers. "How about we go to... yea I don't really know." I laugh. Luke smiles at me. "We could just stay together and go a few places for our last five days." Luke says. "As long as it's with you, it's great." I say.
"What're you gonna do when your mom gets home?" Luke asks me minutes later. "I don't know really." I say. "We could always go and stay at my house. You could just sleep with me." Luke smirks. I smile and nod. "I should like bring some clothing with me." I say. "Don't bring any pajamas. You look sexy in my shirt." Luke says with a lip bite. "I won't." I say from afar. I go upstairs and I just pick out a couple of outfits and I head back downstairs.
"Are you ready? You could at least pack a toothbrush." Luke says. "I have a toothbrush. And face wash. And a whole lot of other stuff I shouldn't name." I say. "Okay." Luke says. We head out the door and leave.
...
"You wanna get some Taco Bell or something before we get to my house?" Luke asks. "Sure. Taco Bell is fine." I say. "So uh... what will we do once we get to my house?" Luke asks. "I do not know." I say. "Play a game?" He suggests. "Like?" I ask. "Dammit." He says and I giggle.
...
We order our food and arrive to Luke's house. "It's a shame how I live like right next to the woods. It's a good scenery, but scary at night." Luke says. "Aww Luke actually gets scared." I tease. "I wouldn't say I'm exactly scared... I just said it was scary." He says. "Which makes you scared." I giggle. "Okay fine! I'm scared." Luke says opening the door. I stop Luke from going inside. "What's wrong?" He asks. "Nothing. It just seems like a nice day to just eat our here... in the woods." I say. "Okay. I'll get a blanket." He says. I stand outside waiting for him.
He comes out with a large blue blanket. "I'm gonna go set up our little "spot". You wait right here." Luke says grabbing the food out of my hands. I sit down in a chair and wait for him. I get a text message from my mom:
'Look Rach, I'm sorry you had to witness that. It's horrible for you. I have been cheating for a while now and I've realized that I shouldn't be treating you like dirt. I deserve what you did with... you know who. I deserve that because I've been a terrible mother lately. I'll talk to you when I get home. I love you. Bye.'
I text her that I I'm not home. She understands and I go on with my life. "Finished but don't look!" Luke says coming up to me. He covers my eyes and leads me to the setup. "What am I in for right now?" I giggle. "Some beautiful Taco Bell setup." Luke laughs and uncovers my eyes. "Umm... there you go!" Luke says. I smile and I sit down. Luke sits down next to me. "What're these?" I ask. "They are these little cinnamon things." Luke answers. "You wanna try one?" He adds. "Of course I do. It's cinnamon." I laugh. He picks one up and puts it in my mouth. "It's good." I say putting my hand over my mouth. "I know right? And I also got us some Baja Blasts." He says. "Well thanks. This is a great... Taco picnic." I giggle. Luke kisses my cheek. I smile at him and I kiss him back. It's actually weird how we're not in a relationship but I can cope with it. People think we are but we're "just friends".
...
"So what do you want to do now? You know since we finished all the food?" Like asks me. "Umm... I don't know." I smile. "I think I know what we could do." He says. "What?" I ask. "Follow me." He say getting up to take my hand. We go farther into the woods until we see a treehouse. "Remember this?" He asks me. "Oh my god yes!" I say with a wide smile. Luke climbs up the ladder and a piece of wood breaks. "Be careful." I say. "I'm fine. As long as you're not the one getting hurt." He smiles. He gets inside. "Wow." I hear him say. "What do you see?" I ask. "Come see for yourself." He smirks looking down from our little "window".
