"Luke, it's raining again." I frown minutes after I wake up. "It's okay, Rach. We can just stay here today." Luke answers coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. I put on some socks before I head downstairs for some breakfast.
As I get some cereal, a text from my mom appears on my phone.
Mom:
*Rachel, could you please come over today? We need to talk. It's important.*
I don't answer back but I know that I should go.
"Luke?"
"Yea?"
"I should go... to see my mom."
"Oh. Do you want me to take you?"
"No, I'm fine with walking there." I smile.I finish up my cereal, then I head upstairs to put on some clothes.

I knock on the door. Seconds later, she opens it. "Come in." She says softly.
I sit on the couch and she sits across from me. "So..." she begins to say. "First, hello Rachel." She adds. "Hi." I say. "Ugh, how do I put this?..." I hear her whisper to herself. "What is it?" "I'll just start off by saying... people make mistakes, you know?" She says. "Yea..." I answer looking confused. "Well... I- I made a really, really big mistake." She says. I begin to listen more. "Well..." I reply.
She moves to sit next to me. "I- I'm... I'm pregnant." She says. My eyes get really wide. "I'm so happy for you and dad!" I smile with excitement. "Rach..." she says looking down. "What's wrong? Aren't you happy?" I ask with concern. "I am happy... but you might not be." She breathes. "Why?" I ask. "It's not... it's not dad's baby." She says. My face turns completely blank. I say nothing. I find myself staring at the floor, not a single blink of an eye. "Rach?" She says shaking me. "I should go upstairs." I say leaving.
I close my door and I lay on my bed. "Wow." I say to myself. I'm disappointed in her, but I need to stick with her through this. But I'm still upset. She walks in. "I'm gonna go out, but feel free to stay." She says leaving. I really want to stay. I need to be alone.

Later on, I hear a knock on the door while I'm asleep, since I took a little nap. I run downstairs to open it. I'm surprised as I see a tall figure with a beanie at the door. It's Ashton. "H-hi." I say. "Hey um... I didn't know you were here. I thought you were with Luke." He says. I see that he has something behind his back. "No, just come in I guess." I say opening the door wider.
He takes his jacket off. I find myself staring at his muscular arms. "I just wanted to come over to tell your mom I had a present for you, but since you're here..." he says giving the box to me. I open the box and there's a necklace inside of it. "Ashton, you didn't have to give me anything." I smile. "I just wanted to because I care about you." He says. I run into his arms. Ash puts the necklace on me. I turn around and smile at him. I hug him again, but this time I kiss him.
I pull away. "I'm sorry." I say touching my lip and looking down. "You don't have to be." He smiles. I still kiss him again anyway. There's really something wrong with me.
