"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yup." I nod, relaxing into the metal chair, attempting to ignore the wires enveloping me.
"You won't remember much." He looks at me carefully, with an understanding between quite deep, despite us knowing each other for only a month.
I nod again. "That's okay. I mean, it's not like I have much to remember." After all that's happened, I was prepared to forget my atrocious beginnings.
He laughs. "Alright."
"Wait!" The other man says.
"What?" I ask anxiously.
"There is a small chance you'll only remember what you see. You could forgot everything else, you know." He pokes a part of my head absent of wires and contraptions.
"Eh. I wouldn't know that, right?" After weeks of deliberating, I've made my decision. Any more interruptions could slowly dismantle that.
There was a moment of silence between all of us.
"Well, okay." He says.
"Good luck, Lucy." The first man says.
He turns the switch.
