Giuliana's POV

It was pitch black. I could hear a faint voice speaking but my sense of hearing was hindered making the voice sound muffled. My eyes soon adjusted to the darkness. As I looked around at my surroundings, I made it out to be a dimly lit alleyway. I could feel a presence around me. I looked to the right of me and saw Grayson standing there staring at me; he was the one speaking. He was dressed in casual clothing, not wearing his normal suit and tie. I looked at his mouth trying to figure out what he was saying, but everything was completely mute. Then my hearing slowly came back to me. I was able to make out what he was saying.

"Leave"

As soon as he said that I saw from the corner of my eye a shadowy figure appear. Just standing there.

"I said leave"

I turn my attention back to Grayson. His eyes were filled with worry. Then I could feel the alleyway become shorter and he was no longer looking at me but instead at something in front of us. I turned to look as well. The man that once stood in the shadows now stood before us.

"Grayson?", I ask. I then turn back to the Grayson standing next to me then back at the one in front of us. It was Grayson; another version of himself. A version that seemed to give off a darker energy. He was wearing a suit and tie, the way he would always dress. I looked down at his hand and in it was a pistol. He followed my eyes to the gun he was holding, noticing the fear build up in my eyes. In response he rasied the gun, aiming it at the other version of himself that was beside me. I looked over at him and his mouth had dissapeared: all that was left has a blank canvas of skin where his mouth should be. He stared back at me blankly as the other Grayson pressed the muzzle of the gun into the side of his head. He wasn't able to speak but that didnt stop the terror in his eyes from conveying his emotions.

"Please don't hurt him", I pleaded. He ignored my pleading and continued to point the gun at his head. Then just like that.
He pulled the trigger.
His lifeless body fell to the ground beside my trembling feet.
"What have you done?!", I cry as I kneel down to hold Grayson's dead weight in my arms.

"He tried to warn you"

I continue to caress his pale cheek as I feel something being pressed into the side of my head. I slowly turn my head to face the other Grayson standing over me. The muzzle of the gun was now pressed in between my eyes. I glared into his devilish eyes; there was no remorse. I involuntarily began to sob as I knew what he was capable of. He then put his finger on the trigger and grinned.

"You should have listened to him" Then without hesitation, he fired the gun.

I woke up instantaneously from my dream in a panic. I gasped and held my chest, trying to catch my breath. My heart racing and palms sweaty. That was strange. It was the first time I had a dream separate from the ones about my kidnapping. But what did it mean? Grayson had just killed me in my dream. Yes it was a dream but it worried me. If I wasn't scared before I definitely was now. I pushed those thoughts aside. I had more important things to think about. I needed to get out of here. I was supposed to leave a while ago so why not now, before things got any deeper. I mean it wasn't like I was going to stay here forever anyways. Now that I had rested and regained my strength there was no reason to stay here any longer; nothing to hold me back. It seemed like no one was home since it was early in the night, I could just grab my things and go. My things. All I came here with was the backpack that I was given but I completely forgot it existed. I hadn't seen it since I arrived here, and its not like I needed it anyways during my stay considering that everything I needed was already provided. But where was it now? I couldn't wait and ask them for it that would be a dead giveaway. I also couldn't just leave without it the only money I had was in there. So I just had to find it myself. Walking out of my room I looked down the long hallway and saw nothing but darkness. My bare feet shivered underneath the marble tile. I had to hurry and find the bag. The first place I would check was the living room. Making my way over I doubted it would be there. It had been over a month. If it was just lying around the house Maria would've said something. There was no point in looking. Ethan was the one that was there with me when I got here, so he must've placed it somewhere. His room. It had to be in there. Well there was only one way too find out and I had to hurry before either of them came back. But as I made my way back to the hallway I realized I didn't know which room was his. Fuck. Time was ticking so I let my mind choose the door for me. There were six doors in this hallway, three on each side. The hallway extended longer into an L-shape creating a corridor and most likely had more rooms around the corner. I decided not to look at those mainly because of the lack of light down there. So these were my options. Fuck it, I said to myself as I opened the one directly across from mine. Stepping into the room I looked around. I could barely see anything because it was dark. Very dark. All I could make out was a bed and a desk but I could tell the room was large. I placed my hand on the wall to the left of me in search of a light switch. My hands grazed over what felt like a light switch so I pressed it. A bright white light lit up the room slowly. The room was like something out of a magazine catalog. Everything was modern and sleek, but minimal. The black bed frame along with the perfectly made bed, the grey panels on the walls, the black side tables, the long plastic curtains along the wall resembling more of a blank canvas than window covers. It was very minimal, but very sophisticated.
