[YOUR POV]
It was a nice day out. A nice day to go outside. Birds were chirping, children were playing while their parents had a never ending conversation, and the sun was out. A perfect day. I threw on a (F/C) dress with white sandals, brushed my hair, and walked outside.
In my own little world, I walked around aimlessly, just admiring the bright summer day. A couple minutes later, I walked to the nearest coffee shop and got my self a (F/D). Smiling, I walked outside and sat on a little wooden bench; enough for two people.
[TIMESKIP]
For a while, I sat scrolling through Instagram while sipping on my drink until I heard, "(Y/N)?" Naturally, I looked up confused but, when I realised who it was, I beamed at them or...him.
"Well if it isn't Patton Foster, how have you been?" I asked, still smiling happily.
"I've been good but I'm now amazing that I'm standing in front of you! I haven't seen you since high school!" He returned the expression. "What about you?" He asked me.
"Not bad, not bad," I smiled wider. "Can we actually exchange numbers?" I asked, getting a sudden boost of confidence as a light tint of pink spread across his cheeks.
"S-sure." We also added each other on any social media we both had, talked for a while then mindlessly started walking without realising it. Eventually, we ended up at a river and, for some reason, there was fairy lights in the tree which made the place looks like something out of a Disney movie. It was romantic to say the least and I noticed Patton became a bit nervous so I questioned if he was okay.
"Can I tell you something that I've been wanting to since preschool?" He turned to me, his face as red as a tomato. I nodded subtly. "Well, I've uh.. like- no, loved you for the longest time. How happy you get when your favourite song comes on. How you cry when something sad happens in a movie. I want to be there with you but I'm afraid. Afraid of rejection, but I've told you all this now so here goes nothing," he started. "(Y/N), would you like to go on a date with me? I understand if you say no and I don't-." I cut him off as his head hung lower.
"Patton," I began. "I love you too and I'd love to go on a date with you, you don't need to be afraid of rejection. Who would reject you? A heartless monster? What I'm trying to say is, you're an amazing guy and I have, and always will, loved you. Long story short: I'd absolutely love it!" I reassured him and, to be extra sure, pecked him on the lips as he spun me around in a big bear hug. How adorable.
Today really was the perfect day.
