I decided to do a dumb Archie Yet still popular Archie ,he's 2/10 smart . Still a player though

{Betty coopers POV}

I lay on my bed crying , my mother was just yelling at me for getting a 95 on my test I'm not crying because she scares me , or because I disappointed her .. I'm upset because she expects me to be this perfect girl ! And I'm tired of being her little puppet. I cant be just like her this "perfect girl with a perfect family and perfect everything " I do everything for everyone , I must do something for myself for once in my life !

I get out of bed looking out the window to see Archies bedroom window across from mine, I pull out my phone from my back pocket and text him
Betty: Archie
Archie:Betty? What's up ?
Betty: Nothing , I've gotta tell u something meet me at pops in 10?
Archie: Of course see you there
I turn of my phone and Fix anything wrong
I stomp downstairs, grabbing my mothers attention "I'm going to pops with Archie." I say with no asking tone
"No your not."
"Mom i wasn't asking.."
"Elizabeth cooper don't you talk to me like that." She begins to raise her voice
"Why cant i go?" I begin to raise my voice my more than hers
"You got a 95 on ur test for gods sake , That Archie of yours is nothing but a distraction"
"Mom hes not ! He actually helped me out I would've gotten worse if it weren't for him!"
I lie .. we both know it's the other way around . I've gotta admit Archie Andrews got Athletics not smarts
"Elizabeth i said no.. final!" She yells , I stomp upstairs.
I open the window.. Sneaking out like I did as a kid for reasons , oh my goodness I only have 5 minutes to be at pops, I then slide down the roof stopping at the edge. I climb down foot first And finally make it to the ground and I make a run for it.

When I enter Pops The bell at the door jingles Which obviously catches Archies attention , he turns over And pats the table Area in front of him . He's telling me to sit in front of him.
Old pop Tate comes over to take our order, Archie and I order the usual : I get a Vanilla milkshake , And he gets onion rings or a chocolate milkshake. Once pops leaves Archie says in a curious voice "So What did you wanna talk about?"
"I think it's time ..I do something for myself ."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm done with my family having my whole life laid done in front of me.. I wanna do something of my choice.for me" Pop Tate comes over with our order and Archie continues
"Betty that's great!"
"I'm joining the serpents."
"Not great."
"ARCHIE I called u over for support!"
"I'm sorry Betty but They're a dangerous gang"
"I believe they're so much more than just a dangerous gang" I say
"We'll talk about this at school tomorrow." He says
"Arch-"
"I've gotta go Help -my-uh-Dog , he's been having trouble pooping lately..."
I raise a brow and nod
Archie heads out of Pops with his shake and onion rings And Hes gone like that.
I guess I'm gonna have to talk to him at school tomorrow..

I'm awoken by the sound of My alarm clock.
I groan , great..just great
I roll out of bed and get my outfit on , a collared Shirt with rhinestones .
And some skinny jeans with my Half heeled boots , I fix my hair into a high ponytail and apply some light make up ,I'm ready ..just need breakfast

My mom made some Breakfast: Eggs with waffles And bacon. I sit down ,things with me and my mom haven't been the best ..
"Good morning Elizabeth."
"Betty please." I say letting her know
She looks at me from pouring her dark coffee and nods
She sits down "I don't want you hanging out with Archie anymore Betty." She said Making the word Betty stand out
"Mom!"
"I'm being serious..no more Andrews, he's just like—" She stops "All those bad man"
What is she hiding from me ...
"Mom?"
"Eat Betty"
I suddenly lost my appetite.
"Mom Im gonna be late , I gotta go.."
"You still have 20 minutes"
"I gotta go , plus I'm not that hungry" I say grabbing my bag from the couch and walk towards the front door.
"Elizabeth"
I slam the door behind me

I Arrive at school and see Archie sitting down With Veronica lodge who is also my bestfriend. Veronica has had quite a crush on Archie since she got here.."Betty !" She squeals as she comes over to give me a hug we all sit down ,
Kevin asks "did anyone have anything interesting happen to them during the summer Archie smiles and says "Yeah around July I found a piece of glass"
"Archie no one cares "
"But it was bright pink , it's obviously a sign!"
Kevin ignores Archie but whispers "No one gives a shit"
Archie exchanges a dirty look with kev
"Anyways" veronica cuts in
"How was everyone's else's summer?"
"Netflix" Kevin says proudly
I cant help but giggle
"New York" Veronica says
Everyone looks at me waiting for me "I didn't do much.."
They nod Disappointed
"Well Betty what about you wanting to join—"
I put my palm over Archies Mouth
Veronica looks at me confused "What?"
"Oh Archie was just talking about me wanting to join a club.." I save quickly
"But you're already in the blue and gold.." Kevin says.
"Ohh I mean during the summer , so I'm not sitting my lazy ass down like always.." I save again
"Archie can we talk in the hall ..privately?"
He nods and we both get up to go to the empty halls .
"ARCHIE WHAT THE HELL??!?!"
"What?"
"YOU CANT SAY ANYTHING, not until I'm ready..when I am i will tell them"
He nods .
"Im thinking of going to the south side today.."
"Alone??"
"I have to Arch"
"Um Betty no u don't "
"Well u didn't have to brag about a stupid pink piece of glass , but here we are!"
"ITS NOT STUPID , ITS A SIGN"
"A SIGN OF WHAT?!"
"When they world is ending you're gonna thank me"
I laugh with Archie as we both walk into the room
"What were you two talking bout ?"
"Archies dumbass piece of glass " i say rolling my eyes
"ITS NOT STUPID FOR THE LAST TIME !!!!!!!! Your gonna come back crawling when The world is taken over by aliens!"
Veronica and Kevin roll their eyes and I cant help but giggle .
It makes me feel bad that I'm not telling those two about me wanting to join the serpents..
But its for the best ..they're gonna understand when I tell them.. right?
