5•➵ How it all went down ➵

A/N i decided to put the plot of this chapter on hold for the next one and in this one I'll explain how it all went wrong with Archie and Jughead. Ty for understand and sorry! Enjoy!

➵{Jughead POV} ➵
Me and archie have known eachother for as long as I could remember , he was like a brother to me and to think things ended like this is kinda heartbreaking , I guess since He started hanging around those jocks it made him hate me more ..cause I wasn't exactly apart of the popularity system.

I was always an outsider , until the serpents rescued me of course.

And I guess that made Archie hate me even more for the fact that the Bulldogs and serpents have been in many "wars" some bloody some not , let's just say someone always ends up hurt when these "wars" break out , but it's not like its my fault.

Like I said Archie Andrews was like a brother to me and his father was like my father , Archie and his Father helped me through tough times. Especially when I was younger and my mother and father broke out into many fights , sometimes even jellybean would tag along when she wanted to and when My dad and mom allowed it.
But when my mom and jellybean left , I thought I finally found my bestfriend for life , and my second "family" but then again "people change people"
And in this case I mean popularity from other kids ..changed Archie.
Instead of briefly explaining this real quick , I'm gonna tell you the story about two young boys.

{Third person POV IS ALL BOLD WORDS}

little jughead Sat in his 2nd grade class , it was the last day of school and Jughead as usual had no one to play with , he was teased by his name and was made fun of..Jughead never let that get to him he enjoyed being alone With his own company, Jughead did definitely notice the beautiful Blonde before but Jughead didn't bother trying to play with a girl he couldn't get and poor little jughead was to young as well.. he hated opening up to people and realized that's what falling in love would involve.

Jughead Jones has never opened up that is until he met Archie Andrews .

Jughead was coloring when all of the sudden 3 kids came up.. that would be Reggie mantle , chuck Clayton , and Moose.

Jughead rolled his eyes.
All three take a crayon and start snapping them till they're all broken in half . It might seem stupid to cry about now but it was a big deal at his age , such a big a deal that little jughead's eyes began to get glossy with tears.
"See you later , BARFHEAD" Reggie said as he and the two other boys laughed , jughead's tears ready to fall until a ginger boy comes over "are you ok?" The ginger headed boy asks , jughead suddenly feels relieved and nods with his glossy eyes disappearing.
"I'm Archie Andrews " the boy says pulling out his pack of crayons and placed then down in the table in front of jughead , Taking all the broken ones and stuffing them into his pocket . "What's your name?" Archies asks politely, but jughead doesn't say anything for about five minutes "Promise you wont laugh?" Little Jughead says in a soft voice. "I promise" Archie says holding out his pinky and waiting for jughead to wrap his around Archies.
Jughead responds by wrapping his pinky around Archies firmly "I'm jughead Jones" Little jughead says unwrapping his pinky from Archies .
"Nice to meet you jughead." Archie smiles shaking his hand. The two boys play for the rest of the day , sadly it's the last day of school they wont be able to see each other again.. "Jughead do you wanna come to my house , to play ?" Jughead's face lights up , anything to stay away from his family of chaos at the moment.
He nods and Archie runs to his father who has his arms wide open Asking Archie for an embrace . Jughead always wondered what it was like to have a family who showed their love and affection.

"Who's this ?" Archies dad , Fred Andrews asked "This is my new friend jughead Jones" Fred's face Is wide eyed , recognizing the last name "Son of FP Jones ?" Fred asks , And jughead nods as Fred smiles ..remembering how FP and Fred went to high school together.
"Arch , I'll have to talk to his father first. "
Archie nods crossing his finger as kids his age do.

"He said yes Jughead. " Fred smiles " he said I can take you and drop you off later. "
Jughead and Archie jump in excitement. They play for the rest of the day .
That's how things were from then on.
Archie and Jughead ..
That was until there first year of high school at Riverdale high , but also the last year Jughead would spend at Riverdale high ..Later on transferring to south side high where his serpent story began . But that's a story for a different time .
{Flashback of young archie and Jughead ends}
{New flashback begins}
The first day of high school went planned in the morning when I went over to Archies to supposedly walk to school together 

But he wasn't home and his father told me he wasn't home and he already headed off on his way to school, I nodded and walked to school myself.
When I arrived Archie was With a whole bunch of Football jocks When I went up to him Reggie was saying "ANDREWS YOUR BEAST , TRY OUT!" He nodded as Archie clapped "Im trying out man!" Archie said to the jocks "Archie ?" I said grabbing everyone's attention.
"Jug, hey " Archie said
"Oh look IF IT ISNT BARFHEAD"
I roll my eyes "Reggie don't act like what you don't have.."
Reggie gets all mad
"Hehe , Reggie doesn't have đïck" Someone in the background laughs
Reggie try's to come at me but Archie and other people come in "Chill man don't wanna kicked of before You make it." Archie says , that's different from what he usually says but i ignore it.

The rest of the day played of with a bunch of shoving , especially from Reggie mantle , getting back at me for the comment . I didn't realize that day would be the day I've lost my friend my best friend.

After school I talk to Archie , "hey Arch " I say as he opened the door "hey Jug ? Come in" I wanted to talk to Archie about how he's been acting weird.. at school
He enters and Archie invites me to his room , "what's up?"
"So I noticed today we didn't hang .."
"Well I had a lot going on with-"
"With your popular gang that made you forget all about Your bestfriend ?"
"What- Jug-N-No"
jughead squints .
"Really Jug ?"
He nods "Yeah , an I gonna be a problem in your reputation??" Jughead says raising a brow
"Jug-"
"No arch tell me now."
"So I can stay out of your way.." Jughead says
"Jughead its not like that.., did you just come over here to pick a fight like always?" Archie rolls his eyes

"Oh I'm the one that picks fight , Atleast I've always been by your side and didn't leave you for some scums who you know been bothering me my whole life!"

"Jug , shut the fück up they're not like that!"

"REALLY? Did you not see how they treated me , I never did anything to them and they think they can come over and bother me??"

Archie stays silent.

"You know what you did , You just stood there and watched , worried about Reggie not being able to make the team!"

Archie opens his mouth to talk but stops for a second before resuming

"You know what if it's such a big problem you shouldn't be my friend anymore !"
"Its not like you've been treating me like it Lately , you canceled our road trip! "

"To practice for the bull dogs" Archie Hissed
"Atleast Don't lie to me! About canceling!"

Archie recalled lying to jughead saying he has plans last minute..

"Get out Jughead!" Archie points Towards the door of his bedroom, jughead pauses but leaves with a disgusted face , "
Hey jughead!" Mr Andrews says from the kitchen as Jughead arrives downstairs "You staying for dinner? " Fred says
"Sorry mr Andrews gotta go." Jughead storms out closing the door behind him hard.
