8•➳ Plan A ➳

Betty's POV
My moms fingers Dance along the keyboard as she types , "Mom what are you writing about?"
"Just the serpents." She says casually but my eyes widen "oh.."
yeah i haven't told my mother about the serpents..and how I'm dating the leader..She would kill me if She knew.
"Oh , what about the serpents?"
"Elizabeth , I have a plan.."
i nod signaling her to continue "We're gonna rid of  the town of serpents.."
I gasp , she looks up "what?"
"Nothing, it's just ..how are you gonna do that ...there's so many."
"We're gonna expose a story about them." She grins "but..get this...thats plan B."
"What exactly is plan A?" I raise a brow "I'm afraid that's top secret.." she smirks as she continues typing as I nod and and slowly head upstairs , once she thinks I'm out of sight she dials a number ..I can hear it. "Hiram? Everything is going as planned.."
there's a pause "Yes of course the exposure story is ready in case..Our first plan doesn't work."
Another pause
"I'm glad we're getting along Hiram..The serpents will no longer...Cause trouble ." I gasp louder than I meant to and run into my room closing the door.

I jump onto my bed where my phone is and I dial jughead.
He answers quickly.
"Betty"
"Jug,i have to talk to you."
"Pops..in 10?"
"Yeah, see you."
"Hey, I love you."
"Juggy-I Lo-"
My mom walks in as I quickly hang up ,"who's that?" She says firmly "Just Veronica" I quickly say "Alright." She walks out
I sigh as I get up from my bed and run downstairs I hear the bathroom door close , perfect she's there I can leave without my mom noticing and head over to pops.

As I walk I think..I need proof this is real ..although he would definitely believe she's doing this to get rid of the serpents, my mother is known for many reasons but the most common one that comes out of serpents mouths ..is Her Famous famous hate on serpents , she's been trying to get rid of them for years , I never really cared ..until jughead because ..he's different from other serpents I met.

Once I enter Jug is sitting in the back booth typing away on his laptop I got him,  I head over he looks up "Hey Jug" i say as I sit down "Hey Betty Whats up?" He smiles ..oh gosh he looks so worry free..My fist clench as I get nervous , forming deep crescent moons on my palm. "Are you Alright?" He says , i cant ..I cant tell him , i need proof..I need to find out what plan A is ..I can't worry him right now! He's got enough to worry about , including me.

"Jug.." I start and pause as I think of something important
"Betty , whats wrong?"
He seems more worried and worried by the second , he shift as he scoots closer to me wrapping his arm around me , pulling me closer inches from his face. I sigh but finally start(⚠️⚠️-trigger warning )
"Jug..I have a darkness.."
he seems confused "Betty we all do.."
"I know ..It's just , so overwhelming.."
I didn't just make this up , I've been wanting to tell him this for a while ..I never really explained the cuts on my wrist..But I'm ready to.
"It makes me do crazy things ..." I open my fist revealing fresh crescent moon , I pull up my sweater and reveal the cuts from a while ago.. he stays quiet "Jug..say something, please." He looks up at me ..cupping my cheeks and leaning in to give me a soft kiss as we both pull away
"It's ok Betty , please..Try not to..just remember i love you and if anything bad were to happen to-"
"I will..I love you."
"I love you too." He says kissing my forehead

Me and veronica Walk down the halls alone together and I realize its my opportunity to ask her , "V?" She looks at me "Yeah B?" She says
"My mom is exposing the serpents..And that's only plan b..Plan A could be something far more dangerous.."
"That's terrible.. what are you gonna do?"
"The thing is..she's not working alone.."
Her eyebrows crinkle , "What are you-"
"She's working with your father , Veronica ."
Her eyes widen "I'm sorry B ..I had no idea " she says practically chocking her words , this isn't the first time she's felt guilty for an action her father has done.
"No it's not your fault but...I need your help.."
She nods "Our parents are both going out together tonight..no ones gonna be home at either of our houses." She nods signaling me to continue"They're most likely going to meet up to Plot more.."I pause "Find out whatever you can ..Look through everything..Send me proof..I'm gonna need it."
"Of course B." She smiles mischievously , this is what Veronica lives for ..something that matches her ,Mystery.
