The Beginning of a Long Journey

Delfin was determined to start the expedition, with the goal of finding his sister. And so, he carefully prepared the things he would need.

In this, his mother helped him prepare. Helena gave everything that Delfin may need in the journey. In his bag she placed a lot of food, clothing, medicine, and other provisions needed for the journey. She also placed other important things, including religious items. Also, more importantly, she placed some things that could be useful in helping Delfin find her sister.

Finally, the day came for Delfin to leave home and start the journey. But before this, he kissed his mother very tenderly as a farewell gesture.

"Son, please take care of yourself. Please always remember that I, your mother, love you very much," Helena said.

"Yes, Mom. I promise. Please take care of yourself too. I will miss you, Mom," Delfin answered.

"I will miss you too," said Helena. And both mother and son hugged and kissed each other as they shed tears.

And with this, Delfin left home with tears in his eyes, looking back as he walked away. He did not want to see his mother crying. He did not want to leave. But he has made up his mind to find for his twin.

So, Delfin started the long, tedious trek to find his sister. He conquered all negative emotions and strengthened himself in the journey.

It was indeed a long journey into the unknown, for Delfin did not know where to find Constantina. He just hoped and prayed that one day, he will find his sister, so the family will be whole again.
