Chapter Four

Tom +-

'I did something bad last night Jenny,' I said as I joined her at the bus stop.

She turned to wince at me, 'oh no?'

'It is an oh no! Is that sarcasm?'

'Of course not!'

Once again I detected a sarcastic tone. I pouted, mock angrily.

Jenny rolled her eyes with a grin, 'what did you do?'

'Not sure I want to tell you now...' I attempted to cross my arms across my chest but failed, only managing to get twisted in my bag strap.

Jenny shrugged.

'Okay, okay, don't beg,' I said dryly. 'Anyway, I added him on facebook.'

'Who?' Jenny asked.

I glared at her.

'Oh! Your Mouse guy?'

'Huh?'

'Tom and Jerry, cat and mouse... Duh!'

'Oh,' I paused, 'okay well, yeah, I added him on facebook.'

Jenny didn't say anything. I looked at her expectantly.

'So?' she prompted eventually.

'Jenny! He's going to think I'm a stalker.'

'I see. You shouldn't have added him then.'

'Yeah! I know that now,' I moaned. 'You aren't being very helpful are you?'

'Well why did you add him in the first place?'

'Um, his friend, Erin Harwood, added me first actually. They both signed up for that Drama thing me and Paige are doing and,' I smiled sheepishly, 'I couldn't help myself.'

'She added you?' Jenny asked surprised.

'Yeah.'

'Oh. I wonder if she has a crush on you.'

I pushed Jenny with my shoulder as our bus came towards us. 'Very funny.'

At lunchtime, me and Paige entered the room we were meeting in, we found that a couple of groups of people were already there, chatting. It doesn't take two

guesses to guess who I looked for, but I didn't find him.

We greeted everyone and waited another ten minutes before beginning. Jerry still hadn't arrived though.

Paige began our meeting enthusiastically, 'hey everyone!'

We were showered in replies.

'Glad you could make it! Both me and Tom hope you thoroughly enjoy this club.'

Paige looked at me, indicating that I took over, just as the door opened and both Erin and Jerry walked in holding a plastic container with chips inside it judging from the smell.

It took every muscle in my body not to beam. All I wanted him to do was look at me and grin, exposing the beautiful dimples that I existed on.

'I am so sorry we are late!' Erin apologised as Jerry turned to shut the door, looking slightly embarrassed.

'I went to buy lunch but the line was so long! It was torture to go through!'

A few people laughed and both Erin and Jerry found themselves somewhere to sit.

I grinned, 'so anyway, before we start, we just wanted to let you know that, we've been there, you know? We've just come out of Year Ten ourselves, and it's really not as bad as it may seem as long as you know when to focus and when to have fun. Most of all you need the support of friends,' Jerry looked at Erin, 'and the knowledge that teachers are there to help.'
