It was Friday. Everyone knew what Friday meant for the Freelancers, well, the higher ranked ones at least.
It was Adult Truth or Dare night. Adult Truth or Dare was, in a sense, like a strip version of Truth or Dare. If you refuse, or chicken out of, a dare, you had to remove one item of clothing. And it was no lie when saying that things often got interesting, to say the least. This time, the game was being 'hosted' in your room, and it was fine because you were one of the lucky few who didn't have a roommate.
"(Y/n)? (Y/n)!" Wash yapped, grabbing your attention.
"Hmm?" You asked. "Sorry, wasn't paying attention."
"Yeah, I noticed," he replied. "But anyways, Wyoming and Florida are here tonight."
You raised an eyebrow in surprise. Wyoming and Florida? Florida didn't show up often, and Wyoming even more so.
A smile graced your face as you smiled at the pair of Freelancers who were chatting away. Once Florida got sight of you, he raised his hand and hailed you over.
"Heya Butch, Reggie!" You chirped. Wyoming gave you a fake glare, while Florida chuckled at his friend's antics.
"So are we going to get this game going or what?" Florida shrugged.
"I don't know, but I do know that we'll get to it tonight at one point!" He said happily. Always an optimist, Florida was.
"Anyways, how you guys doing?" You asked.
"I am doing very well, thank you," Wyoming said as Florida gave you a big thumbs up, both of which were accompanied with a small smile.
Wether it was luck, coincidence, or plain fate, South had gathered all of the Freelancers together and all huddled around a pile of your books into a circle-ish shape.
"So who's going first?" Asked York.
Maine growled something; everyone turned to Wash to translate.
"He says truth or dare Florida." Wash and Maine made eye contact, seemingly having a plan.
"Dare!" The man in blue next to you chirped cheerily. Maine growled and hissed something. Dang, it would be nice if he could talk.
"He says that he dare you to sing a song."
Florida groaned playfully. "What song then?"
More growls. "Your choice."
Butch looked like he was contemplating between chickening or doing the song. He sighed heavily before standing up. Maine and Washington smirked. Now, for most people that didn't know him very well, most would assume it would be some Barenaked Ladies song, like 'Odds Are' or something like that. (Don't dis the song, that song is good!) But Florida was smarter than that, so he, of course, sang a cute little nursery rhyme thing.
"Twinkle twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are,
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky,
Twinkle twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are," he sang, horribly off-key. By the end of his performance, nearly everybody was covering their ears and glaring at either Florida or Maine."All done!" He said happily. A chorus of 'Thank God's and 'My lord, never again's ran around the room. He hummed for a moment before his eyes settled on North. The purple and pink clothes Freelancer's eyes widened.
"Truth or dare North!"
"Crap," the twin muttered. His sister hit the back of his head. "Ow, okay. Truth," North clarified.
