Ant and Dec one shots pt 2

Sleep Deprived

Sleep is a precious thing and most people can function with a little less sleep than usual but it seems to make one certain new dad in particular even more grouchy

Walking through the door to his best mates house the small Geordie toed his shoes off while shrugging him jacket off, throwing it by his shoes the brown haired man made his way into the front room yawning as he went

"Decs wha..."

"Ssh" Dec instantly put his finger up against his friends lips in aid to make him be quiet, laughing softly at the action the younger man just shook his head and pulled him in for a warm hug. Almost instantly accepting the loving gesture Dec felt himself becoming sleepy against Ants body as they stood in the front room hugging "mh you're comfy"

"Yeah no sleeping Declan come on pal" Ant lightheartedly laughed pulling back from the hug making the shorter man stand up on his own, moving a piece of hair out of Decs forehead ant softly looked into his best mates eyes. He often wondered where it all went right for him, how he managed to find such a man like Declan and be able to call him his best mate

"I told Ali I came round here, so don't go phoning her. I kna what you two are like..." Dec cheekily winked as he shouldered his jacket off and aimlessly flung it on the nearest surface as his legs took him in the direction of the sofa in ants front room

Letting his body effortlessly fall onto the soft cushions he was watched by his best mate who was still stood by the door, looking at him in amazement ant just chuckled walking over in his direction. As he reached the couch Dec had made him self at home on he brought a blanked over him that was on the back of the sofa

"Is this how it'll be eh Doolittle? You have a kid then you become my kid to look after?!" Ant lightheartedly joked as he lent down to softly kiss the elder mans forehead, softly smiling at the contact Dec gently ran his hand tiredly down ants face in a gesture of appreciation making the younger man smile uncontrollably while laughing slightly at the tired movement from the small man below him

"It's always been that way, we both know that sunshine" Dec tiredly mumbled as he boyishly smiled up in ants direction before closing his eyes to finally catch a bit of sleep.

"I'll be upstairs if you need me Decs" Ant softly spoke as he ran his hand lightly through the brown hair, hearing a form of acknowledgement of what he said as Dec groaned in response Ant took him self out the room to give his older mate some time to sleep

A few hours later

Dec, in mid sleep, had managed to flip himself off the couch and curl into a ball with the blankets around him as he started to wake up slightly

"Ah there he is! Glad you decided to join us love" a familiar voice rang through his head while he wrestled with he cover to sit up back against the couch, rubbing his eyes Dec looked over where the voice was coming from and seen his wife sitting in the chair near the tv in some joggers and a light top

"Ali?...shit I didn't mean to sleep that long, where's Isla?" Dec started to panic as he seen their daughter wasn't with Ali and started to grab his coat before Ali stood up smiling lovingly at him, cupping his cheek she lightly kissed him before explaining that ant had her and he was showing her the 'Rhumble'

Dec laughed as she explained what Ant was doing and hugged her tightly letting his jacket fall back down onto the chair. As they both got settled on the couch, this time intertwined with each other, Ali looked up at her husband and poked his chest to get his attention

"Hm?"

"I expect to be told when the next private sleep sessions are, uncle Ant can help look after Isla"

"private sleep sessions is the reason why we ended up in this situation" Dec laughed loudly as he received a slight slap on his chest but heard his wife laugh along as well "...but I'll let you know next time..." he smiled inches away from her lips just as Ant appeared in the door way with baby Isla in his arms

"Hey! No none of that thank you! One kid is enough right now" Ant joked as he shielded the baby from her parents kissing passionately

"That's why we have you..." Ali smiled as she felt Decs head fall into her neck as she watched Ants face turn into a fake frown, they all know he loves looking after Isla

mumbling something in her ear that ant couldn't hear Ali chuckled as she heard "I knew there was a reason I married you"

They were both watched by the younger Geordie laughing away like teens on the sofa but really they were just in love, tired and new parents so Ant just left them in peace to sleep and took baby Isla back upstairs to watch cartoons
